4Matt Productions Movement of Music, has been planted in the heart, and soul of Matthew Yates, since 1982. Being an underground artist, Matthew often held a background position in the industry. Matthew started out working with Stacy Kidd, Jerry C. King, Melvin Meeks, Andy Soul Sindane, V-Soul, Tisetso Ntsheno, Angela "Angel Life" Anderly, The Galaktik Knights, Glenn Underground, Pierre J. Gilles (P-Monie Moniestien), Lorenzo Chi, and Lefa Linka. Matthew Yates is a multi-talented, Singer, Songwriter, Producer, and Dj. Matthew Yates played key roles on several production projects on various labels such as 'YellOrange Records, 'Bumpin' City Records, 'MiCasa Records, KULA Records, South Soul Elements Records, Sheeva Records, House4Life Records, Trippin' Records and High-Fidelity Productions. From Google: It's a little but well known fact, that Eddie Scott IS Chicago's "ORIGINAL" Fast Eddie. Not to be confused with MC Fast Eddie (Edwin A Smith), DJ F@$t EdD!e a nickname his uncle Nate Scott {deceased} gave him while he helped his uncle DJ a family BBQ on 7002 Justine in Chicago. (IE) his uncle took a bathroom break & told Eddie to watch the tables, but Eddie was already 3 songs in. When he returned, Nate called 10 yr old Eddie "Fast OLD Eddie". But shorten it to Fast Eddie, now known as a an old school artist, DJ & musician since July 4,1978. After attending Chicago's famous Mendel H.S. (the bi level) in 1982, Corliss H.S. 1983-85, then finally Hillcrest H.S. in 1988 to obtain his GED. Eddie moved to try out his musical skills with others like him in the area. He ran into a skilled local DJ in the next building who wanted him to become one of the original members of a deejay group called "The Housemasters" along with Rockin' Reggie (Harris), Corey (Rogers), Ellery (Cowles).After time off to raise a family, brief solo stints, military & Law enforcement service and playing drums in various groups, graduating Chicago State University in 1994, it was time to come back. On April 7, 2011 he married his soulmate Deatrice Ivory, became a twice ordained minister in 2014 & 2015....and the rest is history.
