Funkyjaws Music keeps on keeping on with its Let's Dance series, which now hits volume number three. It is another doozy that follows the tradition of bringing together four different and equally able artists on one 12". Jacques Renault kicks off with some funky and disco-fried fun on 'Such A Tease' and The Patchouli Brothers take it old school with their steamy disco burner 'Wishin' U Would Call.' This FBR Rework is built around Maxwell’s NoOne, a neo soul classic that carries a lot of warmth and emotion. TLP Troubleman passed the original track to FBR with the idea that it could become something new. He listened, loved it instantly, and got to work.

The rework grew from classic sampling, drum machines and analog synths. A fresh bassline. Old school chords. A nostalgic mood that stays true to the original but moves with a deep and rolling groove. FBR and his crew have been playing it throughout the past year and it always found its moment on the floor. This edit holds the softness of R&B while stepping firmly into our world of soulful house and warm electronic music.

Following the warm reception of the first two volumes in the “Leads & Bites” series, Ibadan Records is returning with a third volume to be released on October 11, 2019.

The Leads & Bites series was launched in 2010 to address the growing appetite for a musically versatile, pumping house release among house music connoisseurs. Over the years, the action-packed series has seen the likes of Tyree Cooper, Earth People, Kerri Chandler, David Sumner and Christian Prommer contribute to the series. The previous volume, Leads & Bites Vol. 2 quickly became one of the label’s most sought-after contemporary releases. The new edition welcomes Ibadan’s longtime artist Argy and Ibadan’s new generation torchbearer, Janne Tavi to the growing series.

Track listing:

A1. Whisper Track (Dub) sees Argy’s prodigious return to the label in this collaboration with Sydenham, which features an energetic club sound with a hint of mystery and darkness.

A2. Purple Beech is a testament to Sydenham’s love for deep house. This lighter version of a classic house track, based on dreamy aesthetics showcases the beauty and simplicity of deep house.

B1. Street Jazz is Tavi and Sydenham’s flashy house offering, combining raw, smoky beats with Tavi’s signature keys and exotic percussion for an elegant yet warm showstopper.

B2. Herb Martin - Soul Drums (Jerome Sydenham's Raw Dub) emerged when Sydenham delved into the historical catalogue and enriched this Afro percussive gem, giving it some fine polish and a harder edge in his updated edit.
