Ah, the weekend. You wake up excited, get up, have a shower and make your way to the airport. You down 5 pints because why not and then board your flight where you fall asleep and snore the entire plane into hating you, after which you land in the city of your show.

You arrive at the hotel and prepare your set feeling more excited by the minute. Your driver picks you up, you go to the artist dinner where your three favourite people ever are already waiting on you, even more drunk than you, and you get smashed and make your way to the venue. You get the bracelet, arrive in your backstage, down another 4 pints, complain to the promoter about the terrible food and then feel bad about it and then you hit the stage. 1300 sweaty people aching to see you DJ.

Life is good.

You plug in your USB and the first track you load up is Sovryn - The Weekend. The crowd absolutely loses it. Sweat and drinks are flying around. Shows are back. You fight to hold back happy tears. You almost forget there's been a pandemic ruining everything for a year and a half.

You better believe the world is going back to normal and Sovryn is coming in hot with three prime weapons to spice up your sets!

Dropset is back with an absolutely lethal EP, and he brought a strong cast of collaborators to show the world some wild sounds. Hot off the heels of releases on labels like Korsakov Music, Kill Tomorrow and Cause 4 Concern this latest EP brings both a versatile sound with the signature style you have come to know from the USDNB madman.

Kicking things off is "Behavioral Analysis" with Transforma. A relentless beast of a tune that just absolutely smashes through the speakers and takes no prisoners. Next up we get a bit of a dancefloor darkness hybrid tune "Listen" with Knoxz. This song features dark melodies and driving basslines that will tear up any prime time slot. Following that we bring the reece fingers out on "Veracity" with Bad Syntax. An absolute stomper of a tune that keeps the dark theme driving and sets a sinister mood good for any set. Winding down the EP with a deep and dark style is the aptly named "D ark Silence" with Native Impulse. It doesn't get much more sinister than this tune and it is one that will certainly creep into your mind and pull at your mental strings.

All killer no filler on this EP as Dropset really displays a show of power. Certainly his strongest release to date and we cant wait to show the world the madness he has cooked up on this one!

Marking their debut appearance on the burgeoning Perth label ProtoCode, acclaimed Adelaide duo
V O E return with a rugged new single entitled “Where You Belong”.

Formed of Tevlo and CARZi – both stellar singers and producers in their own right – the rising Aussie
tag-team have taken the drum and bass scene by storm since banding together in 2018, amassing
an international following off the back of releases on the globally renowned Liquicity, China’s
Unchained Recordings and Black Sun Empire’s Blackout Music NL.

Departing from the tender, poppy sonics of their most recent output, “Where You Belong” is one of
the group’s most blistering songs to date and a perfect fit for the ProtoCode camp. While CARZi has
lent her silky vocals to many of the pair’s latest releases, it’s Tevlo who steps up to the mic on this
occasion to lay down an ominous topline. Drawing audible influences from both neurofunk and
electronic rock, the track combines distorted stabs with juddering, mechanical whirs and shrieking
synth work, reaching an adrenaline-pumping pinnacle.

With four versions of the track included on the single, including a club mix and an extended mix,
there’s plenty to pick from. “Where You Belong” drops 7 December via ProtoCode Records.
