AD Bourke rejoins the Fold for a second outerstellar voyage to the inner mind, an aurally administered distillation equal parts cosmic melodia meets gritty Detroit house. With 'Equal Turns EP' AD’s continued sonic refinement traverses club centric rhythms and syncopated electro basslines awash with his trademark lush synthology.

Building on the hype generated by his sold out 12” label opener, AD again delivers a series of finely crafted grooves and deep atmospheres across the first three tracks of the EP.  Closing out proceedings we are treated to the soulful meandering of ‘Naked Eye’, a true display of musicality that sets this producer apart from many in the electronic world.

Returning to Kompakt after last year's stunning solo album SIGNS UNDER TEST (KOMPAKT 321 CD 119) - already his third full-length with the label -, the LA-based artist presents his latest concoction LAKEWOOD DRIVE. It's a sturdy, spirited EP showcasing Tejada's admired brand of energetic, melodic minimalism, packed to the brim with three expertly crafted cuts confidently commanding dance floors. His predilection for sophisticated, playful bangers is very much intact, making this another hugely successful foray into the realm of hot-wired synth machinery and glistening beats.

John Tejada - Lakewood Drive - Snippet

For those fresh to the beatless grime game, Mumdance and Logos are the figureheads behind the forward-facing Different Circles label. Along with the likes of Mr Mitch and the rest of the Boxed movement, they’re the folk responsible for giving grime a new face during the genre’s rebirth a couple of years ago.

The next release from the pair is a self-entitled, 21 track long continuous DJ mix of unreleased, instrumental goodness. With “Cafe Del Mar”, the duo explore those same grounds made infamous on ‘Weightless Volume One’: ambient, sometimes discordant noise punctuated by stabs of classic grimey bass.

It comes as preparation for tonight’s Different Circles Music session. If you haven’t secured an RSVP, you can still catch the madness by tuning in from 19:00 GMT. Be sure to cop the mixtape in full here.
