Basilica is back to finish summer 2023 off with a huge selection of carefully curated artists with the goal of bringing forth our favourite signature sounds of UK style Techno, Electro, Bass and more.

Basilica Blueprints Vol.2 carries on from our debut release compilation to bring a barrage of club functional and experimental pieces all wrapped under the banner of the Basilica ethos - trying to expand on the nuance and experimentation side of functional dance music fit for the club.

Balancing with drum heavy, rolling pieces combined with choppy and staggering beats, all designed to crush through a dancefloor, BBV2 has already cemented itself on the festivals and dancefloors of 2023, playing through Dekmantel, Blitz Club and many other iconic names, and the list is sure to grow.

We hope you enjoy our latest compilation of phenomenal music as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Emotional Voyage welcomes Lai Raw once again to be onboard with his stellar productions. Having joined the label as
a core member last year, it is only natural to follow up with his first solo EP, and we are extremely happy to have these
fantastic productions on our imprint. The marvelous soundscape and superb mixing, in combination with originality, is
something that we cherish a lot.
Lai Raw's EP ‘Meca Night’ holds 5 tracks, including a remix by UrbnMowgli & Moodrich and a reprise of its title track.
Meca Night showcases a wide range of his sonic palette, which defines Lai Raw’s sound. His approach to drum
programming and chopped vocals highlight this.
The title track ‘Meca Night’ was started during a holiday close to Lai Raw’s hometown, a place called Caños De Meca.
Based on a patch from his travel synth of choice, the Syntakt, it explores stripped-back, progressive arrangements.
‘Hear It All Day’ is a footwork homage combined with Lai Raw’s melodic songwriting experimentations. ‘Khaos Lime’ is
more than a simple club tool: It showcases a more performance-based aspect to Lai Raw’s productions as the bassline
and bleepy synth chirps all emerged from a full-on jam with the Access Virus synth.
Acid synth lines, footwork, and breakbeat rhythms dominate throughout the EP. Its bouncy, upbeat, to dreamy, deep yet
unconstrained powerful mood makes this a captivating and modern dance floor EP.
