A clash between what is real and what is abstract, what is digital and what is analog, Monoiz’s most recent endeavor is a full audio-visual release encompassing the nuances found between these realms.
Both music and video are handled with this duality in mind. The soundscapes were created with analog equipment, aided by digital synths to create that perfect balance between warmth and chilliness, resulting in abstract rhythms and prolonged synth textures, leaving you in a state of trance and contemplation.
The visuals are comprised of fragments of our world, captured during Monoiz’s travels with a small camera, all mangled later with Quartz Composer and other digital techniques, solidifying the core ideas presented with this release. (F.G.)

Poborsk makes his Crazy-Language debut with a very special sensory release for us the listeners and to the producer himself. These seven crisp constantly shifting artefacts are the result of a multitude of live tracks, reworked here for cozy home listening, from when the producer opened a gig in Lyon for the legendary Autechre. The giddy excitement is palpable on the craftsmanship present on each song, not only recollecting the Manchester based duo’s latest atonal journeys but with the rhythmic balance and jiggly synth work, trademark of Poborsk’s varied discography. It’s hard not to get up and start contorting your body onto odd angles with bangers such as Docteur Flanger or Collapse. 

As is tradition with Crazy-Language’s latest outputs, this release contains 3 very methodical video pieces that seem to clash perfectly with the pristine nature of the audio journey. A very prolific and active producer hailing from Belgium, he decided to release on Crazy-Language a very different output from what he usually does, being slowing things down while still retaining his trademark sound of beautiful immediate melodies, clicky beats and a very precise song structure. 
Inside Astravel are half a dozen of smooth, slow-paced classic IDM compositions that take no time on getting a warm and fuzzy feeling out of you. It’s simple, effective and very fun to re-listen time and time again, so you can start digging deeper onto all the nifty little details that are present inside. Spherical Journey

Toni Polkowski and Danny Prusseit founded in 2001 the project Atmogat. Now in the beginning of 2009 there going to surprise us with an EP which sounds surprisingly emanzipated.

It's a five tracker EP, and with a runtime from 30 minutes a work by its own Saluta, the first track is a shuffled moody track, which inaugurates us into the soundcosmos of Atmogat. Springtime, the second track works with a vocal piece. The track get thus a techy attitude, which fits absolutely in to the concept of the EP. Neutron Bionic comes along with a repetitive warp and a haunting spherical sound in the background. It's the most powerful track on the EP and should be heard for sure. Esguman and Bianconic, the last both tracks are quite good and are fitting into the EP perfectly as well. In its own, the Neutro Bionic EP is a solid piece of work where you can hear the leitmotif on every track. If you take the journey you donât have to buckle up because itâs a slow ride but interesting anyway. Good Work!

Bringing together two very distinctive labels for tonight, this event will showcase a wide range of experimental electronic music for the Berlin crowd and the already popular Robot Army event.

Berlin's own CRAZY LANGUAGE, founded in 2006 has gathered a recognizable cult following due to the accessibility of it's releases, bringing the best out of two worlds together: pleasant, spacey and intricate melodies, always followed closely by precise beat work.

Rome based BRAINSTORMLAB brings to the show the intricate complexity of today's modern glitch music. Founded in 1998 as a collaborative project for audio visual creations, it is known to date for varied styles, rule based compilations and digital dub plates, the guiding principle of the label has always been the release of very distinctive, complex and high quality audiovisual artifacts.

Expect this event to be a syncretic audiovisual experiment, featuring a wide range of styles in perfect harmony with Berlin's night scene. From fast paced beats to mellow and rhythmic harmonies, mechanical glitches gliding through analog and digital sets, variety and quality will be delivered. Prepare both your feet and brain to dance till the break of dawn!

Get ready to experience the automated, cold and glitchy prowess works of RANDOMFORM/DATACRASHROBOT; the placid, warming and rhythmic HURON, XZICD's genre blending, organic and blundering set; RALP's fast paced beats, intricate sound design with 8bit influences and JFRANK's funky sci-fi analog/digital set. Electro. 

Kraftwerk invented it in the seventies. Hip hop jacked it in eighties. Techno took it underground in the nineties. And then strange things happened in the noughties. House and dubstep co-opted the word "electro", shifting its meaning and confusing people. Good people. People like YOU. 

You've forgotten what real electro sounds like. But that's ok, because we're here to remind you. Electro is the sound of robots dreaming of a science fiction future, making machine music in their bedrooms with pulsing drum machines, while their keytars gently bleep. OK, maybe not so much the keytars, but probably some squelching synths, and sci fi samples and even the occasional vocoder, all washed down with lashings and lashings of funk. 

Today, electro continues to evolve, embracing modern production techniques and digital sound design, mutating into something so alien it barely resembles most of today's dance music. And yet it does. It SO does, and we have over 100 tracks that prove it, from relentless hardcore dancefloor tracks to intricately tweaked bedroom chin-scratchers; from melodic retro tributes to the escapist soundtrack of science fiction futures. 

So why not consider parting with the princely sum of exactly zero money and opening your ears to the amazingly free Electro Compendium? Who knows, you might even learn something.

Poborsk makes his Crazy-Language debut with a very special sensory release for us the listeners and to the producer himself. These seven crisp constantly shifting artefacts are the result of a multitude of live tracks, reworked here for cozy home listening, from when the producer opened a gig in Lyon for the legendary Autechre. The giddy excitement is palpable on the craftsmanship present on each song, not only recollecting the Manchester based duo’s latest atonal journeys but with the rhythmic balance and jiggly synth work, trademark of Poborsk’s varied discography. It’s hard not to get up and start contorting your body onto odd angles with bangers such as Docteur Flanger or Collapse. 

As is tradition with Crazy-Language’s latest outputs, this release contains 3 very methodical video pieces that seem to clash perfectly with the pristine nature of the audio journey. These glitched, heavily erratic pieces are the contrast needed to bring everything full circle. Or in Poborsk’s case full Euclidean. (FG)

Music is a language used all around the world. Transcending cultural and lingual barriers, this universal code is finding its way even into the most remote corners of the planet. Via the internet, music is connecting people who otherwise would never have got to know each other: Bridging the social context consisting of different cultural backgrounds and languages, music makes us feel united, which is somewhat crazy – music is a CRAZY LANGUAGE. 

Coordinated from Berlin, the netlabel CRAZY LANGUAGE was founded by AXIOM and HURON in 2006. Ever since Crazy Language has been serving as music filter and platform for artistic self-realisation. The label offers all experimental electronic music genres an outlet, for example IDM, Electronica, Glitch, Abstract, Ambient, Downbeat and Breaks. This is reflected in the passion of the netlabel owners as well as in the diversity of the music scene. With lots of love for music, Crazy Language is articulating itself in a dialect spoken all around the world by artists and music lovers alike: the Crazy Language of course.


HURON (Steffen Schröder, Berlin) produces very detailed music, clearly embedded in an Electronica robe. He creates gorgeous spaces through high quality sounding textures and beats. Nice dsp-influenced techniques and glitches plus beautiful soundscapes which usually express melancholy combined with a slight and subliminal touch of darkness are typical for his music. Take a step into the abyss as Huron directs light and dark through corridors of tangled beats, sliced rhythms and skewed melodies.

DATACRASHROBOT / RANDOMFORM (Sorin Paun, Bucharest), the master of aliases, explores different genres as a DJ, Producer, Remixer and Graphic Designer. His tracks and remixes appear on various labels and netlabels, he published customized DJ mixes and has been featured on several worldwide radio broadcasts and podcasts. Randomform is a particularly abundant IDM sonic trip that takes it's listener to a wild ride into a multi-tonal world made of very detailed, carefully crafted ensembles. Datacrashrobot manages to juggle with a wide array of electro sounds, may it be old school beats or futuristic sounding glitches and vocal snippets, luring his listener with an accessible retro-feeling or at times building menacing arrangements of complex beats.

REC_OVERFLOW (Luis, Madrid) is a very active agent of underground Madrid electronica scene through the collective of musicians and his label PLATAFORMA-LTW, which is supposed to be the first netlabel in Spain. Raw and deep electronica messing up with dark hip-hopism, halfway between the smashed dance floor and the unusual and relentlessly melody, the rhythm catharsis and the dreamy sound escapism. His DJ sets and live appearances display high energy and dynamism as you can clearly see when watching him on stage. 

AXIOM (Berlin) is passion and spirit. This is very well visible when he is DJing in Berlin's clubs or selecting the label's musically output. Beyond his work as curator of the Crazy Language Netlabel and his spinning-records deals, he is working with KILLEKILL BERLIN, helping to run parties and releasing records, specially on the genres he grew to love - showcasing this way, the other side of the self-imposed minimal style Berlin has had for many years. Alternative music experience to the people!
