Sergio Bravo, aka Yūko, is a Spanish DJ who started spinning records in 1999, with Detroit and British Techno as his primary influences. He added Spanish productions and explored other genres like Electro and Breaks, especially living in London in 2010, and then joined the Fluid collective to later found New North Records in 2014, which focuses on Electro, Techno, and Downtempo. Rehcorb is a producer and DJ originally from the South of France and now based in Paris. Music played a big part in her life from an early age with her parents being huge rock music fans and her siblings listening to a lot of punk and metal. Her family’s taste in music heavily influenced her style when she started producing Electronic music at the age of 17, creating mystical and brutal Techno as well as experimenting with other styles.

Over the years her musical taste has developed and her more recent productions can be described as dark and atmospheric Minimal House and Electro using a combination of strong rhythmic beats and a solid bassline.

In 2016, Rehcorb released her first EP on the German label, International Clan and has since released on the labels such as Samani, 324 Records, Recordeep and Archipel. In 2021, she released her first album, named 'Unreleased Vol.1' which was made up of unreleased music produced over the last few years followed by her EP, ‘Simulascrum’ on Ramona Yacef’s label, Lescale Recordings and a remix for Lydsten on Enlace Records. She also participated in the launch and was a member of the Parisian collective, the Venus Club which promotes emerging new female talent in the electronic music industry.

Her first EP on wax, ‘ara.bot’ was released at the end of 2022 on Chat Noir Distribution and more recently her track, ‘Instable’ featured on the Romanesco Records VA. One of her latest EP has been released the 20th of june on Olympe4000’s label, Adrenaline Quality.

We have a special guest this week, London-based Acid Freq. is on the GF series. This is the raw electronics alias of Jeremy Rodriguez, also well known as DJ Chupacabras. He started the Draconian Steps label in 2021 dedicated to getting this blend of dusty, raw electronics with a crisp crunch. The label also puts out the Circus of Death project, which is his collaboration with LIES Records boss Ron Morelli. His releases are on heavy rotation and can't wait to see what else around the corner. As DJ Chupacabras, he's got an extensive body of work and blessed labels such as LIES Records, Public Systems Recordings, Sons of Traders, and many others. We could go on about but our brass tacks advise is: Lock in for an hour of Acid Freq. includes tracks by DJ Nephil, Chris Mitchell, Gavelman, and others.

Meet Nikita Akimov aka Sinusoidal — a former resident of TESTFM radio, Yzeech, Blatant — who is next on our list of aspiring Eastern European artists we genuinely admire.

Sinusoidal has a flair for creating slow and moody tunes with a pinch of psychedelia, yet he manages to elevate the intensity to such a level that the end result is nothing short of a sophisticated banger. Apart from producing dancefloor heaters, Nikita is also busy crafting sound design for video games.

We discovered Sinusoidal via his first release on @pinkmanrecords back in 2020. Ever since we heard “Inner Implication”, it has remained a constant in our USBs. The same can be said about his latest album “Moral Decay” which came out earlier this year, again on Pinkman (great job, Patrick).
