10-Faithless - God Is A DJ (Deadmau5 Remix)

Hernan Cattaneo returns home with his studio partners Soundexile. However the boys have let some of their best friends and favourite remixers do the hard work this time, as two of the labels previous monsters have been reworked for 2014. 
Starting with Altair, a track directly coming from the last Cattaneo’s Masters Series CD, and its Hernan´s fav Guy J on remix duties. His trademark infectious vibe is injected here, with his magical spell cast over this mysterious soundscape with warm layers of sounds interlocking as the journey develops. This is both deep and melancholic, yet uplifting and epic, showcasing Guy's golden studio productions to the max! 
The second remix is of Infoxication and again in we went to Israel with two label favourites teaming up as Guy Mantzur and Lonya collaborate. This enigmatic reworking is a deep yet sprightly encapsulating voyage with its feet firmly on the dance floor, while its tonality and effects circulate around its cavernous grotto of sound.

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Mike Koglin is a highly respected veteran of the trance scene. A talented DJ and producer that’s enjoyed a long and successful career releasing for labels like Anjuna Beats, Mondo and many more. It gives us great pleasure to welcome him to Perfecto Black with his stunning debut single - Kosmonaut!

The Original Mix is Mike doing what he does best, insanely high-end production and a dark, but catchy riff. Perfecto for Black!

A strong package of remixes backs the original. Naian, who is a regular to the ever consistent Saturate Audio, provides us a strong nu-prog take on the original while, fresh from remixing for Bonzai Progressive Cordoba puts his signature tech groove into action.

New Perfecto Black signing Greenhaven DJs go more traditional and steal the limelight with a beautiful remix which shows exactly why we snapped them up.

Victor Ruiz lands his Debut EP on Drumcode.

Victor first released on Drumcode last year on their most recent edition of the famous A-Sides Vol.7 compilation with his colossal track ‘Pulso’. Victor has been relentless when it comes to producing absolutely huge sounding tracks, which are heavily suited to the big club room vibe. This May he steps up for his debut EP on Drumcode with ‘Nimbus’.

The title track ‘Nimbus’ marked an important milestone in his life, his arrival to Berlin, his new home. Due to the lack of studio space and set up, he made Nimbus entirely with headphones and laptop. A piercing track with a punctuated kick drum that cuts through the mix, alongside some industrial tones which build an eerie tension. A track that really sits on the darker side of the progressive techno world.

Victor explains that this release is “very much a mix of old and new” representing two stages of his life. ‘Unveil’ was a track he produced back in Sao Paulo, when day dreaming of his move to Europe. A chunky low end combined with big percussion that makes it more of a heady introspective track on the release. It most definitely shows a more experimental side Victor but is welcomed and makes for a thunderous dancefloor track.

For the Techno edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we've dug deep into the archives and pulled out the finest tracks that define the darker side of Yoshitoshi's history. This includes remastered versions of classic tracks like Dish Out Bum's 'Gak Trak' Chiapet's 'Tick Tock,' 2 Smokin' Barrels' 'Basses Loaded,' and Timeline's 'Clockwork Orange,' as well as modern cuts like Victor Ruiz's 'Rollercoaster,' ANNA's 'Momentum,' Nicole Moudaber's seminal remix of Alcatraz's 'Give Me Luv', and Loco & Jam and Frankyeffe's 'Splitting Minds.' To spice things up, we've included three brand new remixes from Moonwalk, label regular Olivier Giacomotto, and Dubspeeka. This time Pontias returns to deliver three solid tracks for the OCD EP.

The title track is a dramatic and bubbly number, with 80's nods, but a
gritty edge, while label boss Several Definitions delivers the remix,
taking it more to the four to the floor edged melodic techno territory.

'From Nowhere' is a blippy druggy driver, hypnotic and energetic, while
the Ivory Thrilling remix adds some weight and takes this tougher and
adds tension.

Closing the EP, is 'What Might Have Been'. A melancholic synthy voyage,
with glimpses of light peeking through.'

PREMIERE: Mikah - Forevermore (Original Mix) [Truesounds Music]

Wild Cards makes its triumphant return with again a slew of stompers that every DJ should have up its sleeve.

Kicking things of is Heerhorst with Outer Rim. This Hamburg representative is giving us a galloping tom groove combined with a melodic affair like no other. Turning eventually in a detuned frenzy, this A1 is sure to deliver the goods.

Elusive Minds is the secretive moniker of one off Holland’s biggest talents. Lost Souls delivers a melancholic opera like no other. Surely one for the dark, brooding club nights this winter.

Duss returns once again with Fifth. The Polish duo again showcase their mastery of the studio with a deep melodic stronghold with a pushing low end. As always peak time material.

Steve Slight and label head honcho Rob Hes, go way back, making this return of a familiar face all the better. Spiral Galaxy transfers us straight to late night outdoor rooftop sessions. A stomping groover, just how we like it.

AudioVirus is back with his track Slow Climax. One for the books!

On closing duties is Gero Jansen with Out of Space, a hidden gem drenched in analog flavor. All tracks are tried and tested and surely are firing on all cylinders. Enjoy!
