As a born Scot, can honestly say that's one of the more cheery Celt pieces. Good one

The 3rd Movement, "A Scottish Dance," was created to honor Vinnie's Scottish mother with a festive folk song as it might have been performed by a small country band of fiddlers, drummers, and dancers.  The movement builds in intensity with a repetitive motive until it ends on an interval of a Major seventh.  Although the Major seventh is a dissonant interval, it is a satisfying end to my ears for this country dance.
