Despite its complexity, the track maintains a sense of restraint throughout. The musicians never fully let loose, always holding something back and keeping the song on a tight leash.

Laxá & Heima Kvartett convened in a new rehearsal space, a derelict house with crumbling plaster and a broken chandelier barely hanging from the ceiling. Dust covered the bare floorboards, and every creak was picked up by the studio mics.

Matthias had been working on programming drums and that coupled with him digging in the crates and listening to 90s UK drum and bass led to him putting his kit to one side and setting the percussive tone on this track, a clear counterpoint to the string quartet's more conventional approach.
