DJ Lex has been involved in music majority of his 26 years of life. First starting out composing musical projects on a piano keyboard then eventually migrating to computer software. Although music production was his first passion, his hunger for the music grew. He then showed a lot of interest toward being a dj. Calling himself DJ Lex before he was a dj motivated him to make it a reality. Lex has been introduced to Djing during his teen years at Waynesville High school in Missouri. First, throwing parties and being the only one listening to the quality of music and pointing out the errors rather than dancing. This later showed him exactly what not to do while preforming as a dj.
