Toronto has had a well documented love affair with the sound of Drum & Bass since the inception of the genre up to the present day.  The cities long standing scene has provided a constant source of inspiration and incubation for the new wave of talent pushing through their brand of Drum & Bass to the world.   Tyler  "Hungry T" Hewson  is the latest in the ever growing line of artists to emerge onto the global spotlight.  Bit by the DnB bug at an early age, Hungry T quickly acquired a set of 1200's and immersed himself in the art form, buying the latest records every week and attending as many Toronto parties as he could.  Influenced heavily by the sounds of Metalheadz, V Recordings and Soul:R as well as the deep Jungle influences of Marcus Visionary, Hungry T made the leap into production compelled by the need to express himself within the music he loved.  His sound runs the gamut from in your face Jungle for Liondub international to darker, more introspective liquid,  all with a natural flair for melody and emotion that hints at a much deeper musical soul.  

Since his initial production excursions, Hungry T has seen his music released on a variety of labels including Liondub, Jungle Cakes, Deep In The Jungle, Propa Talent, Technique, Digital Roots, Audio Addict, Soul Deep and Marcus Visionary's own Inner City Dance imprint which has seen his profile in Toronto grow substantially, translating into a number of high profile DJ gigs that have cemented a firm demand for his skills behind the decks.  As a DJ, Hungry T prides himself on educating crowds with new music and a natural connection with the dance floor that informs his sound away from the "tried and tested" in favor of more diverse,  warm and moving  selections.  With a history in the music already spanning 15 years, and with releases slotted in with all of the labels mentioned ready to drop, the story of Hungry T is only just beginning.

“New Club Waves”  is a sound mixed with  influences from various genres Calvo became fond of over a 21 year time span. 
 
With early examples created in 2015 , the style was officially established in 2018. CalvoMusic would go on to release on labels such as Emince Records, Night Slugs while scoring sets on radio shows such as KEXP, NTS , Rinse FM, Noods Radio, and various stations alike around the world.
