Pharaoh Jonez MEMBER OF YNWV (2012-present) Is an emcee, producer, music video director, and songwriter hailing from Washington,DC. His style has been compared to many of the earlier Hip Hop greats such as Nas, Rakim, LL Cool J, Big L and even Jay Z. From a young age Jonez knew that he wanted to pursue a music career and began working hard to ensure he sharpened his craft. At age 11 Jonez began making pause tapes and recording demos with a childhood friend using just a boombox and a mic. The two spent hours rapping over the the beats that Pharaoh Jonez had made. Jonez comes from a musical background and most of his childhood consisted of music. His mother, Uncle, and Godmother (mother of Premo Rice) all played in the band at DC's historical Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior HighSchool in Washington, DC. Pharaoh Jonez' Uncle DJ Sir Black (Founder and CEO of 2 Nubian Productions) saw that Jonez had a interest in music from a young age and taught Pharaoh Jonez how to DJ and gave him access to his studio equipment. With access to so many vynl albums and equipment in his Uncle's personal studio. Jonez began practicing and went hard every single day. In 2011 while attending Fairmont State University. Pharaoh Jonez released a mixtape( Kill Feed The Tape Vol. 1)  with a small indie group in Fairmont, WV headed by Jerimiah Goff known as KillFeed. Pharaoh Jonez met the group while at a local Pub where he walked around freestyling for locals. The group was very impressed with his emcee skills and offered Pharaoh Jonez free studio time and A clothing sponsorship with KillFeed Clothing Company.
