“Shanghai” is the first song from my upcoming EP which Silent Child and I made together, and it’s a doorway into a new beginning for me. Rodney and I created a sonic landscape like something I’ve dreamed about for so long.

To me, these songs are like painted poems, saturated with the emotion of who I am at my core. We made something very special, I think and I couldn’t be more proud of it.

“Shanghai” began with a story about a doomed secret love affair, starting with a chance meeting on a plane trip to Shanghai. Looking for a way out of normalcy and loneliness, I ask “was what we did a crime”, Rodney and the song seem to answer with their forlorn melody.

Raised in New York City, CRÈME began penning tunes at a young age. “All Talk” is about the anxiety caused by a communication breakdown with someone who you thought really cared about you. You know this because you’re sure they never listen to anything you say. You want to believe their endless stream of words but they’re always empty promises and their actions prove they’re only interested in themselves. Like when someone feels they’re superior, even if it’s all a lie.

“All Talk” is the second track from my EP - “Punchdrunk” - releasing on @7cloudsmusic - which I made with Silent Child @thatonequietkid. 

Many of the songs on it come from my experiences growing up with and learning how to love from a narcissist.

With Halloween upon us “Shot Himself Down” paints a scary landscape. It's an original down tempo song including strong and straight forward drops. With darkness and cracking mental health everywhere, I wanted to recognize the fallen ones. Similar to a blues player from times gone by, whispering songs like prayers to get through the night, I'm singing about something that's almost too difficult to talk about (but shouldn't be, because irl listening and sharing can save lives). The lyrics are simple and direct tho I would find it very hard to speak them without this song.
