Infatuated with the intersection of analogue & synthetic sound creation, aethernal founded the Erfurt (GER) based label Linie Neun in 2020 with three other obsessive artists. Focusing on the hypnotic facets of techno & house, his debut EP "Lucid Echoes" was released on the in-house label in the same year. His sound is driven by his percussive impressions as a drummer and the relentless urge to explore further synthetic impressions. Most recently he has released on the Australian label Aythekos & the American label Obscure Sorrows Records.

As if this week's not hot enough already, @aethernal_sound delivers even more heat with an outstanding live-set straight outta Erfurt. Coming with enormous atmospheres, heavy energy and compiled in a mesmerizing trip through otherworldly ethereal spheres inspired by Techno, Ambient and Electro he showcases his utmost promising repertoire full of unreleased bangers and wonderful breaks. Driven by his fascination for diverse combinations of pounding rhythms and harmonics he already released on labels like @aythekos, @obscuresorrows and his co-founded and Erfurt based label @linieneun together with his first vinyl release in 2020. Fully prepared for the revival of raving he'll soon be heard on Vitus' Curse, too. More info coming, soon.

The new name, 𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚌𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚛, alludes to the uncontrolled and sprawling devotion I feel for music and the strong connections it creates around us.

The show will be a celebration of trance and organic sounds. Psy, goa, ambient, balearic, acid, progressive, fast, slow—in short, anything that touches me deep in my soul.

Each episode will be curated by a person I have shared music, or connected with, over the past year, either closely or from afar. It will convey a value that I associate with them—sensitivity, inner consciousness, questioning of the established order.

Pictures from the mystical @lilaribs will illustrate each podcast.

Lila is an analog photographer and floral designer who artfully balances darkness with the perfect amount of cheerfulness. Her work and life philosophy have been a fierce inspiration to me.

Last but not least, so happy to introduce my first guest to this show @bambi.celia ! An obvious choice as we have been strong music and juju acolytes for over a year now. So much love and respect for this beautiful soul and her work.

Probably Torul V - Denwer. I've been wanting to play this for a while now so i digitized the record specifically for this mix. I like how weird it is. It sets this trippy mood right at the start and allows me to build up suspense and work toward a more energetic finish.

Vortrag und Diskussion von und mit Iris Dankemeyer (Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle (Saale)) im objekt klein a am 3. Juli 2018

"Techno begann als Revolte gegen die Unterhaltungskultur. Die neue Musik wollte nicht mehr als akustische Hintergrundkulisse zur Vermeidung von Einsamkeitsgefühlen vor sich hindudeln oder in Diskotheken als Animiermelodik die Lügen der love songs verbreiten. Sie erschuf dagegen mit konsequent geilem Bumsbeat eine eigene Clubkultur und ein neues Gemeinschaftsgefühl. Wo die Ohren zuvor von bekömmlichen Tönen verweichlicht worden waren, forderte Techno zwingend und kompromisslos Gehorsam. In Berlin wurde aus einer anfangs noch in Tresoren und Bunkern abgeschotteten Subkultur binnen weniger Wendejahre zuerst eine Massenkundgebung mit verzehntausendfachter Mitläuferzahl. Bis heute ist die Partykultur ein Standortfaktor der Kreativindustrie. Die Instrumentalisierung von Techno zur Generalhymne der „arm, aber sexy“- Ideologie hat geholfen, die prototypische Existenzweise des Prekariats gegen deren eigene politische Interessen durchzusetzen. Wer die Arbeitslosigkeit mit dem Ende der Arbeit verwechselt, braucht keine Freizeit und keinen Feierabend zur Kompensation der Arbeitsstunden, sondern ein Nachtleben, das zur neuen Vollzeitaufgabe wird. 
Der Vortrag erinnert an das, was Techno einmal ausdrückte: das Lebensgefühl der untergegangenen Industriestadt Detroit. Hier entstanden die dystopischen Zukunftsklänge zum einen als musikalische Emanzipation von den Standards der „race music“, zum anderen als verzweifelte Reaktion auf die Erfahrung von Verwahrlosung, Armut und Gewalt. Wie konnte aus der Not der amerikanischen „Techno City“ eine Tugend der selbsternannten „Hauptstadt der Clubkultur“ Berlin werden? Und warum eignete sich ausgerechnet die musikalische Negation der Popkultur als Exportschlager und Massenkulturware fürs gesamtdeutsche Gemeinschaftsgefühl? Ist es die Gewalt der Musik, die noch heute Individuen in mythischen Tanztempeln zusammenführt, wo sie sich durch eine gemeinsame Sache glücklich verbunden fühlen und nicht als Konkurrenten durch ein abstraktes Gesetz getrennt? 
Oder ist Techno die Musik der Gewalt, die Hörige in einen konformistischen Kollektivritus zwingt und ihnen das Gesetz der Gesellschaft mit bis zu 150 Schlägen pro Minute einprügelt?"
