In Aboriginal belief, we are all visitors to this place, we are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to love and to grow. Then we return home to the stars. This EP hosts two tracks in collaboration with some of my dearest friends. The title track features Coedie McCarthy, a Yidinji Mbar Barrum man from Northern New South Wales. Telling the story of my connection to my father through music and his journey home. The second track is a remix to Sideways featuring Narli, a Yaegl Bundjalung man from Northern New South Wales. His incredibly potent poetry leaves you in awe and puts a beautiful twist on this original by Seven Monkeys (Major7 & Capitial Monkey) Dedicated to Bill Crooks, may his memory live on forever. I will see you again, when my time comes..to return home.

Some might think that a big city is the only source of cultural trends. But listening to the sound of a metropolis, it sometimes seems to be kind of incestuous in terms of innovation and independency. In contrast, truly groundbreaking ideas often come from remote places. Meet Mitchell Storey: Based in the picturesque hinterland of New South Wales he develops his very own approach towards modern Psytrance, an approach that literally makes him the voice of a new generation of producers.
	
It is 2007 when the young Australian starts up the project Creten. First productions spontaneously draw attention because of their unusual usage of vocals: By rhythmically merging human voices into strong, rolling Psytrance grooves like instruments rather than classical singing, he creates an irresistible catchiness. Always quirky, kind of cartoon-like synth leads are another important trademark of him, clearly showing a healthy sense of humour.

Within no time his talent is discovered by the local scene, resulting in invitations to Exodus Festival, the Nimbin Mardi-Grass, Collaborations Festival or Lost the Plot Festival. His music is signed on labels such as Airglow Records & Twisted Lotus Records.  When Creten presents his debut album “Dynomanic” in 2011, his career brakes through to the international scene, gigs in Switzerland mark the beginning of overseas bookings.And then playing at Earth Dance New Caledonia. Being asked to play at the international Eclipse Festival 2012 in Cairns represents another important milestone.

Whenever the quirky, vocal-infused grooves of Creten boost from a sound system, his fun-loving attitude rubs off on the audience - a feature that clearly makes him one of the most up-and-coming talents of the international Psytrance scene!

Irise – The Psytrance Live Experience
As a core part of Doubsquare Records, Rizon co-founded Irise, a live Psytrance act with multi-instrumentalist Izak Scott. More than just DJing, Irise brings Psytrance to life, incorporating live guitar, percussion, saxophone, vocals, and FX into its performances.

With Izak’s fluid, improvisational harmonics and Rizon’s deep electronic mastery, Irise has become a defining feature of Doubsquare’s label showcases in Australia. Alongside fellow Doubsquare artists Miss Jade (Victoria) and Sharkra (New Zealand), the team is setting a new standard for hybrid Psytrance performances and showcase sets at festivals and club nights alike. Rizon is more than just a DJ—he’s an architect of the underground, actively involved in event production, artist mentorship, and festival support through Locally Hosted Australia. Working alongside local promoters, festival crews, and community groups, he plays a major role in strengthening Australia’s independent music scene.

He has performed and worked behind the scenes at some of the region’s most notable festivals and events, including:

🎪 Shine On Gimuy Festival, Kuranda Roots Festival, Orin Aya, NYX Festival, Roots Fest, Berlin Calling, Grass Is Greener, Festival Cairns, and Port Douglas Carnivale.

After a 10-year network and development era in Victoria, Rizon returned to Cairns to perform at the 2012 Solar Eclipse Festival, marking a defining moment in his career. 
Since then, he has been a driving force in the revival and evolution of the Far North Queensland underground scene, supporting the next generation of artists and promoters while pushing boundaries as a performer and independent event curator.

"Mainstream streaming platforms don’t fairly compensate artists, which is why I choose to support independent music. As a freelance artist, I don’t rely on major streaming services— instead, you can find my music on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. I also support independent artists and labels by purchasing music through Beatport or directly from their websites or in person.

The industry is evolving, and I believe in a future where artists and producers are paid sustainably for their work. There are many networks and avenues out there—each to their own—but for me, it's about keeping the music and the artists at the heart of it all."
