The B-side of this humorously titled release is hands down one of my favourite tracks of all time, and definitely my favourite Levon Vincent creation. One of the few records that I can honestly say is well worth the high marketplace price, though I hope my copy gives me years of play! There's really no fitting description for this shifting chugger; it's a totally melodic and dubby slice of techno with a nice, subtle tinge of house-y-ness. It keeps going and going, with every element in its perfect place. Lots of reverb and warped sounds that build a series of layered loops from some ultimately quite simple components. For me that's the mark of perfection: a fugue-like cycle that plays on a perfect kick, bass drum, etc. And did I mention there are some VERY fat synth chords? Oh, and I just listened to it again and must add that there are some sweet pitched up lasers. I've always had a soft spot for the sound of lasers! Mmmmmm, Woman Is The Devil indeed.

Fresh from outings on Brotherhood Sound System and Bror Records, Genius of Time member Nils Krogh once again dons the Arkajo alias for a third outing on Aniara. He begins with a touch of fluid, late night dancefloor science, where loose hand percussion hits, sampled spoken word vocals and simple, cyclical riffs ride a bouncy groove rich in thickset acid bass. Krogh then delivers something altogether deeper and dreamier - all glassy-eyed chords, echoing vocal samples and unfussy percussion - before stretching a dark, tribal-influenced deep house roller across the entire B-side. While all three tracks are impressive, this is probably our pick of a very good bunch.

Making their debut on Crimes Of The Future are Betonkust & Innershades with ‘Forever In Boccaccio’ their homage to the legendary Belgian nightclub & neon lit club scene which no longer really exists. Made in January 2017 under grey Belgian skies, while listening to a lot of New Beat, Acid & Trance. Belgian sadness & melancholy all the time, fries & beer every day. People would go out from from Friday till Monday afternoon, imagine 60 hours in a club? Feels like forever, thats where the title came from. The ’88 side features the title track & ‘In Love With A Girl Who Doesn’t Exist’ both very much recalling the heyday of the Belgian New Beat scene. ‘Jambers At The Carat Club’ & ‘The Return Of Van Rossem’ over on the ’92 side move with the changing tastes as the years passed, harder edged & with more of an Acid feel.
