This single actually came out in 2010 to mark 20 years of the Liberty Grooves record label. It was rebuilt by The Assembly Worker and Whirlwind D (the rapper from Solid n Mind). It would have been the 5th release on the label back in 1992.

Available on twelve inch vinyl from all good record stores including HMV, Suspect Packages, Rarekind, Vinylism (Germany), Disk Union (Japan), Waxpoetics (US) and most London stores.

Battle Tipped Rhyme

Sampler of the brand new Whirlwind D single out now on Tru-Tone Records in association with B-Line Recordings. The first track 'B-Line Business' is a high energy banger produced by Specifik, featuring cuts by Jabbathakut. The flip, 'Battle Tip 2015' is a dope remix of Whirlwind D's classic 'Battle Tipped Rhyme' (Solid n Mind) by Waxer.

Jungle/ DnB has come a long way since the early 90s, Allways going in circles revisiting early styles and genres, with new advanced technology stepping up a gear, the bar on Production skills is being raised constantly too....
Yet, people still crave more, the average listener or Dj in this long surviving genre will probably be your most demanding and discerning consumer .

2011 has given rise again to the previously coined term of Jungle, Its good to hear people say the word again without feeling out of touch or old fashioned.
Obviously along with rebirths of genres come a new wave of producers, the producers who once stood in front of there role models in the raves have now been inspired to follow in there majestic footsteps.
The new breed of producers have been studying hard remembering the two main key elements that made up this sound in the begining-

Breakbeats and experimentation.

In order for jungle to survive it must evolve and evolve fast, this can ONLY be done by experimentation....being brave enough to try something so radical and new that the producer himself risks his reputation.


Towards the end of 2011 Lighterman a long time producer and dj from Luton decided the time was right to push things a little further and see how experimental Jungle/DnB can get.

Febuary Sees the launch of Criminal Records First Release

It will be a mixed artist compilation Lp featuring classic legends and future stars in the making.

The labels policy will be to deliver fresh, experimental breakbeats and basslines
allowing criminal records to release both deep and dark sounds at both end of the spectrum.
