ties to the past

A bass-heavy drum & bass rework of Kora’s Burning, rebuilt at 178 BPM with reggae and dub influences running throughout.

I wanted to keep the raw character and message of the original while taking it somewhere much heavier — deep sub bass, rolling DnB drums, distorted bass, reggae guitar, brass, scratches and plenty of low-end pressure.

Built, rearranged, mixed and mastered as my own take on the track, with the focus on keeping the reggae feel alive while turning it into something made to hit hard through a big system.
