Joshua “IKan” Rosado is an American recording artist, songwriter, producer, dancer, and entertainer. Born in Queens, New York, raised in a musical family, performing arts was a part of his upbringing which always made him stand out from his peers. His strong foundation with the piano and the electric bass guitar only heightened his production skills as he transitioned to programs such as garage band and logic pro x. Skilled in hip-hop, R&B, and pop production, he leaves listeners in awe as an accomplished rapper and singer. Mixing a poetic hip-hop influence with east coast rap roots he raises the bar, singing, with a vocal centric aesthetic sound with modern R&B/pop stylings. The trilogy of talent is completed with his songwriting skills. He’s gained a reputation for his exceptional song writing capabilities nationwide. Performing under the stage name “IKan” his artist name is a reminder to his fans to be the best they can be, like an icon, and serves as a self affirmation to the possibilities that can be achieved with the phonetic spelling symbolizing “I can”. 

As a dancer, IKan is skilled in hip-hop, acrobatics, krump, street styles, popping, choreography, modern and street jazz. Known best for his dynamic backflips and floor tumbling, Rosado steals the show with his isolations, glides and footwork.  He’s toured with Broadway Dance Center’s Juan “Chino” Zapata in the World Class Dancers collective. This lead to recognition by the NY Daily News and The New York Times.  In the dance battle and performance scene Joshua “IKan” Rosado has shared the stage with Brian Puspos, Jose Boy Boi Tena, Sivan Levi, and Alonzo Williams  As and entertainer he’s worked with instructor and master of ceremonies, Godfrey “GE ”Elder, performing for various non-profit organizations throughout New York City. Dance and entertainment is a major way that IKan connects with the audience without using words. Joshua has used his talents to give back to the community and has performed for local events, parties, community fundraising for HIV/AIDS and breast cancer awareness.
