This power girl is from Buenos Aires Argentina. 
Luuma Beat is so happy to host her set because for many years I followed her productions on Soundcloud. 
Barda experiments with beats, synthesizers, and acoustic instruments as the Charango, percussions, guitars.
She can touch the most dreamy atmospheric electronic sounds, in combination with Latin American rhythms, powerful kicks, sweet voices, speeches of rebeldia and folklore Latino,

When you meet Barda on the dancefloor, you will be caught by her waves that she develops little to little from downtempo to middle tempo and uptempo. 

Always in a live set, with a few synthesizers, and many toys for producers... 

During the summer you can find Barda in festivals and clubs around Europe and America, as Katerblau in Berlin, the Womex, the Mutek, the Fusion fest, Bahidorá, as well as in the underground Buenos Aires.

My Own Selection

Founded in 2000 by the legend Sven Väth, Cocoon Recording has released more than 350 artists from house to techno, minimal, acid house, progressive, etc.… mainly on vinyl. 
And in between all these artists, it's time to make my selection the perfect pretext to celebrate the 20 years connecting beats and music lovers. 
I didn't know Cocoon since the beginning, but I'll never forget my first summer in Ibiza when I met many cocooneros. Every Monday, hundreds of islanders and seasonal ravers gathered in Amnesia Ibiza around midnight to dancing until the end: 7 am. Many friends asked as holiday the Tuesdays, to continue the after party anywhere, any house, any secret after, any beach. I have funny, tripping, such cool memories in the beloved musical white island! 
My first season was in 2010 when Cocoon "Party Animals". And, yes, I fell in love with papa Svën, with his always perfect mix, surprising selections, and charm. I partied with Cocoon and Sven for ten years, many Mondays in Amnesia, Pacha Ibiza, in Ushuaïa, 5km, Benimussa Park, Blue Marlin Ibiza. The island is like the biggest toy store that any kid can imagine. I have not idea about the daily number of parties. To select, you have to know! I fell in love with many different parties in ten years, but Cocoon has been the constant. 
My last Cocoon was the closing of 2019 when we all celebrated "Dancing Since '99". The September 30th Pure Ibiza Radio streamed that night, from the Club, one of the Amnesia's two rooms. They invited me to be one of the hosts, so we presented Adam Beyer, Ilario Alicante, and Anna by the radio. I was so impressed with the people's energy from that point of view. And, until now, with such high energy, as if we knew that night would be one of the last euphoric celebrations in a club with hundreds of people for almost two years.
Experiencing them, I learned so much about quality techno, quality, minimal, quality acid house, quality sound, quality vinyl mix. So it's not only about parting as a nocturnal animal, is also about educating your ear, connecting your spirit with the amazing music experience, and be part of contemporary music history. 
It's not easy to follow the Cocoon Recording steps. Even I have my preferred artists discovered thanks to Cocoon, every year they release legends or relatively new names, in addition to the compilations. However, I use to mix my beloved tracks when I can when the atmosphere deserves it. 
My selection was according to follow similar planets orbiting in the same system. 
This first musical journey tells the Cocoon Recording story in 8 chapters. The first planets' system is a hypnotic path that flirts the minimal techno, the deepest progressions, and synths.

Enter Downtempo Electronic Music, hovering right around 70 to 105 bpm. This style is made up of many sub-genres such as organic downtempo, Ketapop, Berlin downtempo, down-tech, slow-mo, slow house, global bass, etc., most of which have only emerged over the past ten years.
There is an active and fascinating underground associated with the downtempo scene. That's how I met my fellow German producers @faulspaeth owners of the @Talpalabel who invited me to participate in their production @DrivingSlowly

But @Kaleema_ba played at 11 and blew up the dancefloor :) 
Then some guys sang acoustic songs at 1, but people had the Saturday late-night psychedelic energy, so:
I played mid-tempo, groovy, trippy electronica from 3 a.m. until 5:30 a.m., then We played B2B until 7 a.m. with Lucaz the sound technician... I wanted to dance with every special soul gathering at Lichtung.
This is just the beginning of a late-night music spell...

Soy Cris Kai, artista, promotora de música electrónica y terapeuta. 

Todo lo que comparto en este podcast, The Self The Artist, nace de mi experiencia, mi curiosidad y mi investigación personal sobre el autoconocimiento dentro del proceso creativo. Confieso algo desde el inicio: no tengo la verdad —spoiler, creo que ningún humano la tiene.

Lo que pienso hoy y la forma en que habito la vida son provisionales. Están en movimiento, en aprendizaje constante. Me encuentro en una etapa de crecimiento y reajuste continuo y elijo atravesarla desde la autoconciencia: observándome, cuestionándome, escuchándome.

Los seres humanos aprendemos a través de la experiencia propia y también de la experiencia compartida. Así evolucionamos. Por eso considero esencial transmitir ideas, reflexiones y vivencias que puedan nutrir el crecimiento —interno, creativo y colectivo—.

De ahí la importancia del autoconocimiento.

De ahí la importancia del arte.

Por eso este primer episodio se titula “Aislamiento terapéutico y creativo”. A pocos días de que termine un año intenso, mirar hacia atrás parece casi un cliché inevitable.

Pero también es una oportunidad. Antes que nada, deseo —de corazón— que el 2026 nos regale momentos de felicidad real y profunda: para mí, para ti, para quienes escuchan.
Mi 2025 estuvo marcado por finales. Algunos fueron suaves; otros dibujaron nubes densas, tormentas y truenos. No lo digo como queja. Lo digo como parte del aprendizaje que elegí asumir, del compromiso que firmé con mi alma: atravesar incluso lo más crudo, lo más incómodo, para comprender, transformar y crear.
Este episodio nace ahí.

Within ten years in Ibiza, four years in the United States, and multiple stays in Berlin,  Cris' talent and experience have taken the attention of a handful of tastemakers with a keen ear. 

Cris has been traveling and playing internationally in Europe and the Americas nonstop since 2016, counting over 30 cities in 11 countries.

Since 2021, Cris has focused on electronic music production and vinyl sets.
