FGL also known as Fernando Gonçalves Lema is a musician, DJ and producer born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Starting his career as a rock drummer, it didn't take him long to become a multifaceted musician. After releasing albums and touring for more than 10 years through the country with different groups, Fernando presents his solo project as FGL. Categorized as an artist who surfs between Melodic Techno, Indie Dance and Techno, his sets inject a large dose of energy driven by strong bass bases and synthesizers accompanying a solid rhythmic base that does not let the audience rest. As a DJ, FGL managed to become one of the favorites of Argentina Techno scene, touring the main clubs on the national circuit (Crobar Club, The Bow, Mandarin Club, Bahrein, Niceto Club, etc.) sharing the booth with international artists such as Cosmic Boys, Mosher, Matt Sassari and the greatest exponents at the national level: Nicolás Taboada, Beico, Emi Galván and Emiliano Demarco. In 2018, he released his first album “Black Magic”, an album that defines him 100% as a producer; Since then, FGL has not stopped releasing music, publishing on labels such as Raversar Records (Russia), Plasmapool (Germany), Surrealismo (Argentina) and F.T.F.T Records (Australia), reaching the top of Beatport's world rankings ("The Ritual EP" Top #1, "Wish Me" EP Top #3, Digital Overdose" Top #7) and getting support from the main producers on the world scene such as Armin Van Buuren, Vintage Culture, Camelphat, The Element, Magdalena and Kasia, among others.

The Reason

This track was created as an instinctive process, focused on groove, tension, and atmosphere. The production started from a simple rhythmic idea, gradually shaped through repetition, sound design, and subtle movement. Layers were added slowly to preserve a hypnotic flow, keeping space for the low end and allowing the track to breathe on the dancefloor. The goal was to create a deep, immersive experience driven by feeling rather than complexity.

When considering the career of Criss Source, focusing on his sole hit track “Hugs & Kisses” is tempting - it is a legendary track of electronic music and was one of the most played in clubs between 2005 and 2009 - but is far from giving the whole picture of the artist!

After 25 years of being in the business, Criss is stated as worldwide DJ. It must be said that his passion for electronic music comes at a very young age. Passion that we can felt today in his sets with a rare eclecticism for a DJ of his caliber between melodic techno, techno, progressive or into a music deep & hypnotic. 

We can find the same eclecticism in his productions; Mauritius Music, Parquet Records, Circle Music, Sprout Records, Yellow Tail received tracks from Criss over the last years. 

“Selected with Care” could be the perfect motto for Criss as he’s privileging quality to quantity.
