This song is the 1st single, and title track from my upcoming EP titled "JOY". This song is a blend of Glitch Hop, Experimental Electronic, and Hyperpop. 

The world is under so much tension, stress, and pain. So i wanted to transmute these feelings into JOY. Which then became the aesthetic to creating this EP. I hope for all who will listen to this song feel the joy i had while creating it. 4 more tracks will be released in sequence after this. So much more JOY to come!

Welcome to Hydra Radio - a multi-genre mix series showcasing Hydra artists and special guests! Volume XIX features our very good friend, Maāk.G!  We're honored, frankly we're ecstatic to showcase this mix, and have a very special original release of his to share later this month!  

Hailing from the suburbs of Detroit, Maāk.G is a multi-disciplinary artist focused on immersing audiences in unique audio-visual experiences within the realm of electronic music.

Established in 2019, he started making a mixture of Future Bass, Dubstep, and Trap. Since then, Maāk.G's artistic journey has taken him beyond the confines of genre conventions, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of other sub-genres such as Techno, Drum and Bass, Leftfield Bass, Ambient, and Trance, to carve out his own distinctive style within electronic music.

Since 2019, Maāk.G has also ventured into the world of visual arts, honing his skills in crafting artwork to complement his music releases. This exploration ignited a budding interest and deep passion for Graphic Design and 3D Artwork, expanding his artistic palette and enabling him to merge his musical vision with captivating visual aesthetics.

Last year, Maāk.G independently released two EPs, "Sightless Worship" and "Deostra," centered around a fictional universe named Deostra. This world has been in development for the past couple of years, and he aims to continue drawing inspiration from it to create music and visual artwork that further expand the universe and its characters. The music of these projects draws inspiration from the genres listed above, specifically combining melodic elements with heavier bass music ideas to create a compelling contrast of aesthetics and timbres that offer something new and engaging for listeners. His next project drawn from the universe of Deostra is an album called "The Violence of Creation," and is in the process of being finished as of the past two years. The first single from this project, "Tender Sorrows," was released earlier this year on Destinuna.

More recently, Maāk.G submitted a video mix to the Symmetry Music & Art Festival for a chance to perform at their event on the weekend of September 13-14 in Libertyville, Iowa. The video concept involved performing the same mix at multiple locations, with cuts between each performance to create a dynamic viewing experience that mirrors the musical motifs presented. You can find this video on his YouTube channel.

Maāk.G hopes that by utilizing the harmony between glittering images and striking sounds, he can make an impact and, above all, create moments worth remembering.
