We welcome the second coming of Tomas Bexton, a veteran crate digger and deep house & techno specialist from Maidstone in Kent, England. This is yet another vinyl-only session from a true master, hot on the heels of his debut for us in December last year as part of the Avenue Red Is 10... mini series (link below).

Now, let's just quickly make an observation - Tomas knows how to select and mix. There ain't no sync button, for he is the sync button. More black gold bullion from his magnificent and broad record collection heaped onto the Avenue Red deep summer house vibes 2024 bonfire! Hit it crew.

I think some spring & summer feelings were in the air with this one as once again, deep and jazzy house rule the way for the majority of the mix. Speaking with the main man he told us that he's got an upcoming album for late 2019 + another Grant ep & a camarade ep in the works. Also worth keeping an eye out for are a remix of a track by Malin Genie & Selidos coming out in November on berg Audio which you can hear in the mix ;)

SlothBoogie Guestmix #201 - Grant

Who would have thought that 7 years from the first time he stepped into his first Toi Toi we would be having him as a guest for the mix series, welcome Nicky.  

Nicky's first party was Toi Toi's 3 years birthday where I had Craig Richards, Zip and Ben UFO all as secret guests. Quite a historical event. Watching this youngster's journey from then until now, one can only feel proud, his patience, care and dedication / hard work. 

Possessed with the biggest charisma, Nicky is a true and honest person, features that truly and directly reflect on him as an artist and the respect towards his craft, what you see is what you get, no faking, no pretending. His residency at the Lion & Lamb with the Outransa parties are evident to that, they have a nice community, a true pool of followers, just doing their thing, as it should be. 

Nicky reinstates my hope in the world of 'emerging new talents', most think that Djing starts or finishes on the decks and it is way beyond that too. 

The result for this series, an extremely elegant and carefully crafted set, thank you Nicky.
