Interference is an ongoing project by composer Christopher Lock. Each installment features algorithmically generated music, created using various data sonification and randomization techniques. This first installment features tracks produced by sonifying computational sorting algorithms, creating spectrographs from digital images, and randomly generated patterns of notes using Max-For-Live. Once the raw materials were generated, they were treated and arranged to create cohesive compositions.
