From humble beginnings of a quiet English market town, his passion for soulful dance music has taken him to play alongside many of the finest UK and International house DJ’s. Brought up on a diet of weekly radio shows from Kiss FM DJ's Paul 'Trouble’ Anderson and Bobbi & Steve providing the perfect education jump starting the soon to follow insatiable thirst for the 1000's and 1000's of records in his collection. Music ethic has always been to keep an eye on the new but never forgetting the old and this is representative of his DJ sets; where you will hear upfront tracks alongside those rare 1993/94 dubs and house and garage belters.

DJ wise, one quarter of the London's Soulfulbeats DJ collective who has provided the capital with some of the best soulful party moments, playing alongside the talents of Sean McCabe, Groove Assassin, Phil Asher and Craig Smith, but also guesting at many of the UK's finer house music events alongside the likes of Louie Vega and Paul ‘Trouble' Anderson. 

Young family life has meant easing off the musical gas for a bit, but in the meantime check out his music channel @melly_melv_records and enjoy the mix which digs deep into his vinyl collection.

Christoph and Morrison are a talented Berlin & Amstderdam-based duomaking music for the heart and soul. They have released music for Endless Music, Scruniversal, Metro Beirut Records, Ltd, W/Lbl, Berlin Bass Collective to name a few.

Morrison:
I was always influenced and moved by radio at a young age. I saw both my grandparents dance and walsch around on the lovely jazzy records from Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Dixie styles but also Bach, Vivaldi and many more. My Grandfather played the trumpet and in the house of my father's side of the family there was a piano, you could find me fooling around pretending to understand and play what I saw in the Aristocats movie or I was being silly with whatever kids that age do.

My mom encouraged me to seek an instrument to make my own, which was the first big parental mistake because, yes I chose the drums (Meanwhile my Dad: I am happy he ain't living with me while he smirks). It did not take long before I got in a band and well yeah you move on. So you become older and find this thing called a laptop and then some smart friend gives you this cracked version of Reason 5 and, well no turning back now. 12 years later I do what I do and it makes me very happy.

Christoph:
I always had a big love for music that I inherited from my father. After finishing school I was certain that I would work in the music industry. Having several friends doing parties. Because of this I got into DJing and quickly released my first vinyl in the following years.

Afterwards, I studied Audio Engineering, which meant that my music making got a bit slowed down but after a while, I picked things up again and did a great remix for Emiel van Den Dungen on Plötzlich Musik end 2017.

Shortly after I started to work with Morrison, which sparked a new creativity. This created the team that formed Horsemen. Together we do mixing and mastering as well and helped to build up several labels.

Cromarti Sessions 008 - Mixed by Tree Threes

We've decided to ramp up the show a little bit to release new mixes for you every couple of weeks, rather than once a month in coordination to each new release on Cromarti Records. Of course, we'll still be doing that in order to feature mixes by new artists on future releases each month as well. For this Session we asked Tree Threes if he could put something together for us. He had 2 remix versions come out on CR033 with Manuel Kane's - Shelter EP. So, if you happened to miss that one, please feel free to go check that one out on Traxsource, Beatport, Etc.

Tree Threes was born & Raised in Cork, Ireland, and now resides in London. His music productions are a blend of House & Broken Beat tinged tracks inspired by fellow Cork natives "Fish Go Deep" & the West London Broken-Beat scene. His music has been featured on other fantastic labels as well, such as Nervous Records and Kolour Recordings. We hope you all enjoy this mix by Tree Threes! Thanks for tuning in!
