My debut album Strange Part of the Country earned ★★★★ from Q Magazine, a Blues Matters cover feature, and reached #3 on the U.S. Alternative Radio Chart, with airplay on BBC Radio 2, WWOZ New Orleans, and KROQ Los Angeles. Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Marc Ribot, and Danny Thompson have all been part of the journey.

I’m now finishing a new album with Marc Ribot, Tchad Blake, and Danny Thompson — music that digs deep, raw and real.

Je m'appelle r° Vortex (ça se prononce ro vortex) suis auteur compositeur et mon dernier bébé s'appelle Cromlech Vortex. 
Cromlech Vortex est un projet sérieux malgré des dehors fantasques et tout feu tout flamme. Mes textes traitent de sujets variés mais souvent, derrière la farce, s'il y a farce, métaphysiques. Je ne cherche pas spécialement à séduire de public car les gens... On sait pas trop ce que c'est... à part une masse protéiforme blobesque...  parfois inquiétante...


Concernant mon processus créatif :
Je me fous complètement de savoir quel est le style de ma musique tant que les morceaux que je fais sont bons. Quand un morceau est bon, je le garde. Un morceau bon est un morceau qui : 
_ est original
_ déconcerte au début, et puis ensuite, provoque quelque chose qui fait qu'on ne peut plus s'en passer.
- n'est jamais démonstratif ou académique. (on se fait chier avec des morceaux comme ça.)

Dark comedy, experimental fusion, song lyrics²... Holistic absurd humor, Sorbic metaphysics, poetic geliturbation, horror, and bonhomie.

I couldn't care less about the style of my music as long as the songs I make are good. When a song is good, I keep it. A good song is one that:
_ is original
_ disconcerts at first, and then provokes something that makes you can't live without it.
_ is never demonstrative or academic. (We get bored with songs like that.)

I'm a new musician from the UK and have only recently started to produce music on a more regular basis.

From as far back as I can remember, music has always played a pivotal role in my life and has been my driving force.

I have a very varied taste in music and enjoy listening to anything from Classical to Heavy Metal to Hip Hop to name just a few.

I love to experiment with different genres of music & I plan to eventually release these in the future under different projects 

Future Looks Deep and Golden Tranquility are a small sample of what I plan to release as part of my Classical project.

Composer, performer and producer, my influences are eclectic, among them: Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince, Aphex Twin, Beirut, RadioHead, Daft Punk, Vampire Week-End, Tony Allen, Joy Division, Kamixlo, Baby Metal, DJ Hell, Cypress Hill, AC/DC, The Raconteurs, SantiGold, Tom Morello, Mozart, J.S. Bach, The Kills, Fugazi, Helmet, Hendrix, Mad Season, QOTSA, Charlie Parker, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cesaria Evora, Stromae... and so many others.

Raw sounds are what I like most, and I prefer focusing on the vibration produced by the interweaving of complementary melodies rather than adding spectacular effects.
I have been a guitarist and singer in several rock bands. Meeting the audience in concert with my friends was exhilarating, but I had long wanted to lead a personal project.
All composition ideas in this project came to me while walking, a discipline that I am passionate about. City, Forest, Mountain, everything that can be walked makes me want to put one foot in front of the other.
I am pleased to present this project that could be classified in the Electro-Pop category, although some metal, ambient, Jazz or Funk colors frequently come to it, with measure but enthusiasm. I leave you to judge the consistency of the whole and the category in which you would like to put it.
Welcome to my world of walking musician, hoping to discover some interesting landscapes along the way.

I will sing at some point but this is the next step. I'll focus on creating music for now.
