Patrick Topping, the UK’s esteemed DJ, producer, and engineer, has risen to become a globally renowned tastemaker in electronic music. With a career spanning over a decade, his record label and event series, Trick, has now surpassed 100 releases and hosted multiple festivals in Tenerife, Newcastle, and Budapest. Trick has also held residencies, events, or hosted stages at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and venues, including DC10, Creamfields, The Warehouse Project, EDC Orlando, PICA Melbourne, Concourse Project Austin and many more. 2025 marks his third year as a resident at the legendary Ibiza club Hï, and also a refocus on the house, tech-house, and techno genres where he first made his name.

From humble beginnings, his first-ever DJ set was in a working men’s club in Newcastle in 2009, followed by years of promoting events, DJing locally, and studying music production. This led to his breakthrough moment in 2013 with a release on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax label and becoming a Paradise resident until 2019. He has been more or less constantly touring the world for 12 years now, playing huge festivals such as Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Coachella, EDC Vegas, Awakenings, and Ultra—as well as many influential clubs along the way. In 2022, he won Best British DJ in DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards, adding to an impressive list of accolades including: Tech House DJ of the Year (2018), Track of the Season for “Forget” (2014), Newcomer DJ (2014) at the DJ Awards Ibiza, and DJ Mag’s Tune of the Year in 2014 for “Forget.”

As a recording artist, Patrick has now released over 100 original tracks and remixes, with “Be Sharp Say Nowt” (2017) going on to become certified silver in the UK in 2021. Known for pioneering new sounds within house, techno, and British dance music, he is one of the most versatile tastemaker DJs and producers in electronic music. His music is grounded in Chicago house and Detroit techno, yet always looking to innovate. Patrick has worked with pioneers of these genres, including multiple collaborations with Chicago’s Green Velvet—such as their 2014 smash “Voicemail,” “Mad Motion” (2024), “Shining,” and “When Is Now” (2015). He’s also done remix swaps with Chicago legend the late Paul Johnson and collaborated with Detroit icon Kevin Saunderson on “Frisk,” which featured on the official soundtrack to the 2022 film The Batman. Crossing over into pop, he has also remixed high-profile artists including The Streets, Sam Fender, Robyn, and Calvin Harris.

His ascension through the international DJ ranks has been matched by his shrewdness and passion for spotting and championing emerging talent. In 2019, he launched his influential label and event series, Trick, which has become one of the most popular underground dance music brands. Curated by Patrick himself, Trick has provided a platform for breakthrough acts such as Ewan McVicar, Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing, and many more. Its loyal fanbase has become one of the most passionate communities in dance music, with fans proudly sporting the brand’s lightning bolt on merchandise—and even tattoos—at events across the UK and beyond.

With an exciting release schedule ahead and still driven by the same raw energy that first inspired him as a raver, Patrick Topping continues to live his dream while staying grounded. A hardworking, humble, and visionary artist, he remains a key contributor to club culture—whether behind the decks, in the studio, or uplifting the next generation of talent.

Rufus' love of all music, both old and new has allowed him to craft a style that is unlike any other - blending elements from every genre over the funkiest house beats, Rufus always manages to craft a groove that starts with a foot-tapper, and quickly builds into something that's impossible not to dance to. Rufus' innate ability to give every person on the dancefloor something they can relate to has earnt him a solid reputation in his adopted home of Ibiza as a guaranteed party starter, and he now plays regularly at some of the most legendary clubs on the island, including Pacha, Space, Lio and Pikes. Thanks to Rufus' lightning-fast technical skills on the decks, he also works for Native Instruments as their Ibiza product specialist, training some of the biggest names in the industry: Carl Cox, Sasha, Felix da Housecat.

Rufus hosts his own show on IbizaLiveRadio.com, "Ruforia" - where each mix aims to distill a central theme down to an hour-long mix of uplifting, unrelenting funk.

After 12 years in the game, Kissy Sell Out continues to be one of the most influential and globally respected names of the British dance music industry. With fresh projects evolving in 2018 as the label manager of Stepper Man and Lengoland, his bass house productions and world-class DJ mixing talents have forged the start of a second chapter in his vibrant and prestigious career. 

With his critically-acclaimed new album as KSO called “Style From The Westside” – described by UKF as “the realest bassline album you’ll hear all year” – Kissy has used his wealth of experience to shred up every old habit and signature sound he has honed in the past and re-written the rule book of electronic music production yet again. 

The list of collaborators featuring on the album reads like a who’s who of heavy-hitters in the current bassline and bass house scenes; including DJ Q, Darkzy, Dread MC, Pavv, JG, Tengu, Sam Supplier, J69, Jaikea, and The Wideboys. 

KSO’s lists of achievements in the music industry and public-eye are as long as they are astounding. He started at the tender age of 21 working on official game-changing remixes for A-list pop-stars such as Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris and Gwen Stefani (all while he was still at London’s Central Saint Martins art college), and went on to find success across the globe as an influential taste-maker at BBC Radio 1, global brand ambassador for Pioneer DJ, regular tour support act for The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim, as well as a unique music industry personality and public figure who can claim to have debated against Stephen Fry at Cambridge University and composed official music for the 2012 London Olympics ceremonies in Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.

The Chronic Cowboys, aka Donald Leary, Rufus White and Trevor O’Neil, are a long way from their childhood career aspirations but once you’ve heard this triple-threat DJ partnership cause a stampede onto the dancefloor you’ll swear they made the right choice.

Formed in the early Naughties in a tiny pub in Ibiza, the original Cowboys were Donald and Rufus, a couple of cold-weather refugees using their mixing skills to scrape rent. Despite hailing from opposite sides of a fiercely contested border, Yorkshire-born, Northern Soul fan Rufus and Glaswegian techno fiend Donald discovered a common theme in their contrasting backgrounds. “We love the possibilities of dance music,” says Rufus. “It brought us to Ibiza and gave us a life neither of us imagined. Now, every time we step into the DJ booth, we can take the crowd some place they’ve never dreamed of going.” Given their open-minded approach it’s not surprising that third member Trev is a Bristolian junglist whose first musical memory is listening to his mum’s Bryan Adams tapes.

Their sound is a product of these disparate influences, put through a Balearic filter to produce a unique strain of sunshiny house music shot through with irreverent samples, dark techno licks, and rumbling West Country basslines. This sounds like a tall order but the Cowboys would no more consider merely mixing two records than their namesake would contemplate riding a bike to work. Rufus, as Native Instruments’ product specialist for Ibiza, ensures the trio is always armed with the best and latest in hardware and software. And they’re happy to press into service whatever decks, effects, gadgets or gewgaws are in arms’ reach. But for them, technology is only a tool. The cutting, sampling, looping, spinning has one simple goal: To pump up the party till it goes ‘pop’!

Drawing inspiration from crowd-pleasing jocks like Fatboy Slim, Andy C and Mauro Picotto, the Cowboys have cultivated the art of taking music seriously, but not themselves.

“If I were a cowboy,” Donald says, “I’d be John Wayne and have a gay horse.”

Trev, straight-faced, reveals that his hidden talent is clapping with one hand.

Ask Rufus what his philosophy is and he’ll tell you: “Never play leapfrog with a unicorn.”

This irrepressible sense of mischief, combined with some 40 years collective DJ experience and a staunch belief in transformative power of good music and good times makes the Chronic Cowboys the most exciting trio of tune slingers you’re likely to meet.
