'To close the year I wanted to offer a set from 2021 that meant a lot to me. This was an afterparty at the amazing Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles back in August. I had been on the road for a few weeks playing unreleased music every night but when I got to the venue around 1am that night and saw the queues all the way up the street I knew this was going to be a good one and decided to dig in the crates and pull some special tracks from the last few years for what turned out to be an incredible crowd.  It’s nights like these that reminded me how special my work is and how much I continue to love it, even in the face of such a difficult year.
With this mix I’d like to thank everyone that came out and danced to my music and supported me in 2021.
So let’s raise a glass to another wonderful 12 months of fun and music ahead. Happy New Year!!!'

"It was a warm Thursday night and I rode up with my crew to the Mayan Warrior linked up with Robot Heart and couldn’t believe my eyes. 
In 9 years of Burning Man I had never seen so many people at one party. 
I always choose to play just one event during the week at Black Rock, preferring to spend the rest of my days and nights exploring and enjoying all the various levels of this incredible experience without the hassle of running from one party to the next. And preparing for my set around 7am I sensed that this was going to be a magnificent morning. I was a little nervous but I had those good butterflies swirling and as the vermilion hue of the pre-dawn began to rise, I stepped up and played this set that you can listen to now. 
I will never forget it.
Being invited to play the Friday sunrise on both buses was a dream come true and I’d like to thank all the thousands and thousands of people that joined me for this special moment and to the dedicated heroes of the Burn that made it possible.

Damian Lazarus - Mayan Warrior x Robot Heart Tie Up - Burning Man 2019

We’re pleased to announce the launch of The Crosstown Mix Show, a new bi-weekly mix series from Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion. Each episode will feature a different member of the label roster taking us on a mind bending journey of upfront, fresh, exclusive music.

The first instalment comes from Damian Lazarus, who explained more about the series:

'Since the beginning of the lockdown, with the inability for DJs to be heard in clubs, we thought that now was a good time to remind people about the quality of the artists we work with at the label. These mixes are a reminder that the art of DJing is still alive and kicking, even while the dancefloors lie dormant.'

The Crosstown Mix Show 001 sets the standard, with the focus on unreleased forward thinking tracks. Deep and twisted electronic music, to be enjoyed both in your head and in your home, a perfect selection also for a dance.
