Every time I play in a club or a party, I challenge myself to experiment with different electronic music styles. To keep it interesting and fun for the dancefloor and me, I like to think of my sets as musical journeys and so I never set my playlists in advance. Every DJ has their style. For me, I always go with the flow and select tracks based on the dancefloor's vibe or wherever I wish to take the party. While this is the adrenaline rush I chase (and love), the pressure of what to play next, in the time pressure also sometimes leads to unsuitable track selections and mixing errors - and this is what you might hear in this mix. I was not optimistic about putting this set on Soundcloud; however, I chose against it and embrace the mistakes as "lessons". Here I am presenting you a DJ set in all its natural form, with what some may call 'odd track selections' and some 'mixing errors'; I hope you can overlook them and enjoy this mix nonetheless. 'To close the year I wanted to offer a set from 2021 that meant a lot to me. This was an afterparty at the amazing Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles back in August. I had been on the road for a few weeks playing unreleased music every night but when I got to the venue around 1am that night and saw the queues all the way up the street I knew this was going to be a good one and decided to dig in the crates and pull some special tracks from the last few years for what turned out to be an incredible crowd.  It’s nights like these that reminded me how special my work is and how much I continue to love it, even in the face of such a difficult year.
With this mix I’d like to thank everyone that came out and danced to my music and supported me in 2021.
So let’s raise a glass to another wonderful 12 months of fun and music ahead. Happy New Year!!!'

Very little can be written about our Astra Club Sunrise Set at Robot Heart during the Link with The Mayan Warrior.

Very little can be written… because of how much of it needed to be felt and lived.

After an almost 3 years of waiting to to return home; 3 years full of rollercoasters of emotions and challenges; we knew this moment captured on our set, would mark us for the years to come and we hope for those who were there and those at home now, are able to be taken by the music, the lights, the energy of the Desert and to once again be reassured that a Sunrise can never defeat the Night…. and that just like that “the dust of the stars” shaken by the Astra Club music dropped some magic on you.

Thank you @robotheartfoundation @burningmanproject for letting @carlita_music and I speak our language in the desert while the sun rose… And thank you to everybody who shared this moment with us. Otherworldly can’t even begin to describe this moment.

Turkish electronic music artist Sinan Arsan, presents his latest work, the 'Agora EP,' on Francesco Pico's Magnitude Recordings.

This compelling release features two original tracks, 'Agora' and 'Bougainvillea,' showcasing Arsan's signature underground progressive house style. Complementing these is a remix by Argentinian duo South City, newly appointed resident artists of the label, adding their unique touch to the EP.

With a career spanning over two decades, Arsan has established himself as a prominent figure in Turkey's electronic music landscape, releasing music on esteemed labels such as Mango Alley and Dopamine. The 'Agora EP' is a testament to his evolving artistry and commitment to the genre.​

To be honest, we've been waiting to put this set out ever since we first conceptualized the idea of D Laz playing DH. Damian has been one of our favorite DJs and a constant inspiration for us over the years. He’s the only person we’ve given a 4 hour set to and he turned it into something that went down in history alongside the best sets we’ve ever seen at the fest.

Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT - Burning Man 2019

It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?

Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT Music - Episode 199

We’re pleased to announce the launch of The Crosstown Mix Show, a new bi-weekly mix series from Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion. Each episode will feature a different member of the label roster taking us on a mind bending journey of upfront, fresh, exclusive music.

The first instalment comes from Damian Lazarus, who explained more about the series:

'Since the beginning of the lockdown, with the inability for DJs to be heard in clubs, we thought that now was a good time to remind people about the quality of the artists we work with at the label. These mixes are a reminder that the art of DJing is still alive and kicking, even while the dancefloors lie dormant.'

The Crosstown Mix Show 001 sets the standard, with the focus on unreleased forward thinking tracks. Deep and twisted electronic music, to be enjoyed both in your head and in your home, a perfect selection also for a dance.
