Every time I play in a club or a party, I challenge myself to experiment with different electronic music styles. To keep it interesting and fun for the dancefloor and me, I like to think of my sets as musical journeys and so I never set my playlists in advance. Every DJ has their style. For me, I always go with the flow and select tracks based on the dancefloor's vibe or wherever I wish to take the party. While this is the adrenaline rush I chase (and love), the pressure of what to play next, in the time pressure also sometimes leads to unsuitable track selections and mixing errors - and this is what you might hear in this mix. I was not optimistic about putting this set on Soundcloud; however, I chose against it and embrace the mistakes as "lessons". Here I am presenting you a DJ set in all its natural form, with what some may call 'odd track selections' and some 'mixing errors'; I hope you can overlook them and enjoy this mix nonetheless. 'To close the year I wanted to offer a set from 2021 that meant a lot to me. This was an afterparty at the amazing Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles back in August. I had been on the road for a few weeks playing unreleased music every night but when I got to the venue around 1am that night and saw the queues all the way up the street I knew this was going to be a good one and decided to dig in the crates and pull some special tracks from the last few years for what turned out to be an incredible crowd.  It’s nights like these that reminded me how special my work is and how much I continue to love it, even in the face of such a difficult year.
With this mix I’d like to thank everyone that came out and danced to my music and supported me in 2021.
So let’s raise a glass to another wonderful 12 months of fun and music ahead. Happy New Year!!!'

This month’s Get Physical radio show features a mix from renowned German artist and DJ Tom Breu. Tom’s musical journey has seen him traversing the globe, settling in Ibiza at 19 and now calling Los Angeles home. He has been a constant presence on the global music scene playing the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals and releasing music on crucial labels. This month, he joined the Get Physical family for the latest single ‘Murungu’ alongside Peruvian-American artist Sintra. The mix for the show features this super Afro-House melodic fusion, along with a host of other recent gems from the world of Get Physical and Friends. We have tracks from Climbers, Cioz, Chelonis R. Jones and Djuma Soundsystem amongst others as Tom Breu takes us through a highly melodic and dance floor focused selection.
