Earlier in the year the Joy Wellboy released their second album and 'Wedding' is another fine example of the wonderfully poppy, instrument-led music that they conjure up.

One of the tracks from the album is called 'The Magic' and it's received a top notch remix package with edits from Phono, Fred P and Maceo Plex  & Shall Ocin. We've got a premiere of the latter's remix and it's arguably the best of the bunch.

Maeve 09 is a special record. It welcomes the return of one of the founding members of the label, Baikal. Although the Dutchman has had somewhat of a hiatus from releasing music, his hard work and struggle with the process of creating forward thinking electronic music has always continued. “Pelican’s Flight” reaps the rewards of this carefully nurtured process and proves most definitely it was worth the wait. 

The title track “Pelican’s Flight” is a mesmerizing ten-minute techno trip. A throbbing kick drum is decorated with sparkling synth lines all moving on their own orbit creating a trance like effect on the dance floor. The pinnacle of the trip hears rasping chords blast through the swell in a glorious moment of elation; in short this is a bomb. 

The B-side “All Forces Occur In Pairs” goes deeper again, drawing the listener into a similar hypnotic state. Various sonic ideas breathe in and out of the foreground creating a swirl of expectancy and excitement. This track will cause you to close your eyes and be carried away to another dimension…

Based in Cologne, Peter is greatly known for his collaborations with Marcus Worgull on Innervisions. “Love Supreme“ delivers a monster of a track, which we are sure you will not forget. Before i started my festival season this year, i went to the studio in Berlin and recorded some tracks for my sets. 
These two tracks i´ve been playing again and again, so they became the soundtrack of my summer. 
They are as hypnotic and freaky as my DJ sets are. I used some of my favorite instruments, the 303, the 909 and the Minimoog to create two tracks full of murky, distorted vocals, strange breaks and pure drastic emotion in beat form. 

This record is my definition of the Allien sound. 

One of my recent projects is Vinylism, where i play vinyl sets in some of my favorite record stores all around the world. I started with Lucky Records Island, then Discos Paradiso in Barcelona and will continue at Ultrasuoni Rome, Smallville Paris and Phonica London.
Also my radio show Braincandy, is back on Ibiza Sonica, as a one hour mix every Monday from 7 - 8pm. 
And I´m touring with my „We Are Not Alone“ events, where i invite my favorite artists to play with me. Next Station is the ADE week in Amsterdam and Magda, Cassy and Johanna Schneider will join me. 
In Berlin, my favorite place is IPSE at the moment. We had a few amazing BPitch partys there this year, good times in the little warehouse and the beautiful garden on the riverside...

We picture this one like a motorcycle ride to hell, chugging and militant by design, it's like something out of Mad Max or Ghost Rider. The basslines are thick and they pound with intent while piercing, unnerving synths trickle in alongside unpleasant chords that stab in-and-out of focus.

Fur Coat return to Crosstown Rebels - the label that launched and empowered them to grow into the major techno force we know today, with their ’Numbers EP, featuring a remix from US native Vin Sol. This is music that keeps you guessing. Initially it appears dark and forceful, and suddenly a sound appears that results in a smile, a warm feeling that only the highest level of production can deliver.

Fur Coat’s schedule is unrelenting. The last couple of months involving a standout set at DGTL Festival, releasing on Watergate Records, remixing Nicole Moudaber & Skin on Mood Records, combined with numerous festival appearances over the Summer. Resident of the popular night Club Lonely in San Francisco, Vin Sol, founded an imprint with the same title earlier this year. A self confessed lover of the drum machine and regularly collaborating with Matrixxman, Sol has previously released on Soo Wavey, Clone Jack for Daze and Delft among others.

The closure of fabric has seen a reaction that has been completely humbling and overwhelming to all of us on the team here, from over 150,000 signing a petition of support to raising in excess of £300,000 in donations to help our legal fight.

Support has come from every corner of the industry, with fundraising events at a number of different venues being held up and down the UK. This response perfectly encapsulates everything the electronic music community represents.

Both fabric Records and our artist led label Houndstooth decided a release that embodies this spirit would be a further powerful way to demonstrate the collective power of our community. We asked artists associated with both labels to donate a track to the cause, needing to act fast we gave a deadline of just 3 weeks in total, from inception to final master. The brief was simple, we asked for a previously unreleased track, either brand new or an alternative version of an old classic.

The response has been far greater than we could have ever anticipated, with an array of amazing artists delivering stunning tracks. Given this generosity every track that has been submitted is featured on the release, meaning an incredible 111 tracks make up the final running order, presented in alphabetical order.

Due to touring and time constraints many more artists could and would have like to have been involved, and we can’t give enough thanks to all the labels that have generously allowed their artists to contribute.

In the era of the playlist, this compilation represents a comprehensive overview of electronic music from the outer fringes of experimental explorations right through to music aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

Ahead of the court date which will determine the long term future of fabric nightclub we’d like to present this compilation as a document of this moment in time but also as the perfect embodiment of everything fabric is and stands for.
