Crown Ruler Mix #25 - Ben Fester B2B Cousin.

We’ve got another mix for you snatched from the wild - this time from iconic brothers @ben-fester and @secondcousins. Recorded at our open-air party co-presented with @planettrip earlier this year, the siblings warmed up for maestro @floatingpoints in the breeze of twilight, where they proved themselves as well-seasoned DJ’s no longer necessitating introduction. 

Sink into this mix of trippy downtempo, percussive electro and cherished vocal house from two masters of their craft.

This mix was recorded on the stolen lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We acknowledge their Elders past and present, and recognise efforts in the ongoing resistance against colonialism. Always Was, Always Will Be.

These life happenings always need a soundtrack to go with it, and we’ve got just the medicine. A beautifully curated love from the likes of DJ Luv you… A soaring star in the Naarm landscape, a magician of sorts; One that’s particularly exceptional at pulling ‘the good’ out of thin air. 

A master of their own story arc, putting in nothing but hard work and devotion to the art of selection. A DJ mainstay across the board, playing all types of ear sweeteners, their ability to adapt to any dance floor (and now any living room) is unparalleled, nailing the holy trinity of Naarm soundscapes ~club~radio~wine-bar. If I haven’t convinced you yet of the sheer talent that they possess, this mix will do the talking for me. A serendipitous spin across time and continents whilst never missing a beat. The fact that this whole thing is mixed (perfectly) still blows my mind, even after 17 listens. I can only imagine the time and mind mapping the mix would’ve taken, but well worth every tedious second. Such an eclectic selection of tracks all with a thread of rhythm gently woven through them. So much future nostalgia compressed into an impressive 3 hour sojourn. A perfect accompaniment for a dinner party with friends evolving into dancing in the garden, all you need to do is figure out who’s hosting. Go forth, press play, have fun.

For Trushmix 206 LNS and DJ Sotofett are back!  This time in full effect as a joint force. A mix they originally did for Bleep, called "The Reformer Mix Vol. 1". This is one hour of extravagant mixing, vinyl and edited into a exciting and genre spanning trip, full of energy and strong twists. As the artists states themselves:

For "The Reformer Mix Vol. 1" we wanted to change it up a bit from our other mixes that are either straight forward, or live recorded in the club. We used two Technics 1200's and recorded a longer mix session, then edited everything down, mixed in live overdubs with turntables, added vocoder melodies, and also a proper amount of shout outs. The idea was to present a highly condensed mix that still has the raw live feeling we love from playing records in the club. With more than 30 tracks in about 55 min we're using some of our favourite cuts, moving through our biggest influences from House, Techno, and Electro, mixing all with a solid base in Hip-Hop.
