Thomas Fang is a sound artist living in Portland, previously based in Austin. After establishing himself as a DJ, he co-founded the Artificial Music Machine record label in 2001. Since then, he has performed experimental electronic music under his own name and as Static Storm System, and has collaborated with other musicians as part of Inversion Effect and the Bradley Telcom Ensemble. Utilizing modular synthesizers, vintage laboratory test equipment, handmade devices, field recordings, radio transmissions, circuit-bent electronics, and other non-traditional instruments, he explores sonic territory ranging from glitchy noise assaults to darkambient drones. Mr. Fang was also conductor of the Furby Youth Choir, a small army of modified toys which terrorized audiences at Bent Festival (NYC), Burning Man (Nevada), and events in Texas such as Maker Faire, Art Outside, Burning Flipside, East Austin Studio Tour, and Fusebox Festival. Since 2010 he has worked for synth manufacturer 4ms Company, and has worked for Darkplace, Synthrotek and Bleep Labs, as a co-curator for Church of the Friendly Ghost and volunteer coordinator for Austin Museum of Digital Art, and has taught circuit bending workshops for the Modern Aural Sculpture Symposium South and the New Media Art and Sound Summit. Radius is an experimental radio broadcast platform established in 2010 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Radius produces, exhibits, and distributes work by radio and transmission artists from around the world.

Radius features a new project monthly with statements by artists who use radio as a primary element in their work. Radius provides artists with live and experimental formats in radio programming. The goal is to support work that engages the tonal and public spaces of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Ariel Westberg is a singer-songwriter who began creating and performing at a very young age.

She attended Evergreen State College where she studied experimental composition, classical voice, classical guitar, and music therapy.Ariel’s career highlights include opening for Coldplay at the Hollywood Bowl and having her music played on KCRW by several DJs. 



Scott Bruzenak aka Noisecastle III is a bedroom pop/electronic producer who is also Ariel's husband.


Westberg is their attempt to frame their experience of being gen X as they tiptoe into middle age.  They hope it somehow carves out a tiny space in people’s souls. They also focus on how music and living in L.A. have affected their life together.  More than any of that, they are embracing pure, classic American songwriting that comes from the heart.
