'A Night in Paris' is the critically acclaimed new French cabaret show starring Aurora and the Chanson Trio.

The show features the songs/jazz standards made famous by some of France's best known singers/composers, including Édith Piaf, Yves Montand, Charles Trénet, Django Reinhardt, Charles Aznavour, Michel Legrand, Françoise Hardy, plus a springling of surprise.

The Chanson Trio features the legendary Robin Bibi on jazz guitar (nominated for Best Acoustic Act and Best Guitarist in the British Blues Awards 2014 and winner of Best Guitar Solo in the WRC Awards 2014), Al O'Connor on double string bass, and the award winning Chris Neill on piano/keyboard. The star vocalist is the French singing sensation Aurora Colson, who has taken the showbiz world by storm with her exceptional voice and stage presence.

A tour de force of French retro, 'A Night in Paris' will transport you back to the Paris of yesteryear for an evening of superb entertainment.

A bass music producer who spent his formative years growing up in the UK being influenced by the early Grime scene and the then emerging Dubstep scene. In Cape Town he found a platform at the now defunct Cold Turkey and has played around CPT and Jozi at festivals and clubs such as Oppikoppi, Synergy, Bang Bar and Kitcheners. Having released on Enchufada, Dunn (formerly Dunn Kidda) has recently been experimenting with his own version of Kwaito seeing his music being licensed to the Hypebeast episode focused on South African fashion.

Maramza

Maramza is the tapeworm inside your head, straight out of South Africa, a producer of global future bass music. His music is a mix of distinct South African sounds mixed with future electronica. EPs such as Hungry Ingcuka and Low Magic exemplify his sound. His collaborations with local singer on tracks such as Cut The Cake and Inkwenkwezi has received acclaim. His sets mirror his production ethos, a throw-down of bass, hip-hop and house, with a distinctly kwaai sound.

After starting the mini Dekmantel Selectors podcast series last year, we couldn’t resist continuing it with artists from this year's line-up. In the next couple of months, we will release 5 podcasts by some of our favourite artists. This year’s podcast theme is all about 'another side of me', wherein the artists show another side of theirselves.

Next up is Rotterdam legend David Vunk. His motto? 'Life is live'. His records? Somewhere in between electronics, disco, techno and italo, as long as it has the 'vunk'. His labels? Moustache Records and Moustache Techno, featuring Gesloten Cirkel, Mr. Pauli, Fred Ventura and many other underground stalwarts. 

His mix for us shows another side of him, wherein he plays the records that he mostly doesn't play for big crowds. "I'm a straight-up tough Rotterdam based DJ, but I can be a sweatheart as well. In clubs, I mostly play eclectic stuff but this mix - which is recorded live at home - shows another side of me. It’s the stuff I play at home and is even more eclectic than you’re probably used to hear from me. Live free style mixing, recorded in one take.”

Wednesday night saw Lobo return to Hauptbahnhof for the first time in 2017. This was the sound track to that arrival.

Lobo arrived to a sea of burners from all over the world, their flame lit faces gently swaying. The anticipation was high and the energy palpable. Lobo’s horn rang deep into playa one last time before coming to rest beneath Hauptbahnhof. With both sound systems combined, the dance floor reached a higher level.

It was an honor to be apart of the Wolfpack again this year… It’s the best dance floor in the world.
