Briggy Benz is returning to the Dancehall arena with a clear vision and a musical resume that can stand the test of time. Fresh off the successful release of his first official solo project - the Homecoming EP - it seems he is well prepared to continue the legacy of his namesake. 
 
At the young age of ten years old, Briggy was introduced to the dancehall world by mentor and family member Spragga Benz. The two Benzes in collaboration with their Red Square colleagues voiced "Gi We Dem" - a song that became a local hit receiving heavy rotation on top-performing Jamaican radio stations. 
 
In more recent years, Briggy has proven that he is an entertainer who embodies the true meaning of being a dancehall artist; possessing versatility and lyrics in great quantity. He remains mindful of the contents of his lyrics and delivers songs that are consistent with the roots of hardcore dancehall. 
 
His Homecoming EP, released February 2016, featured his hit songs Get Gal Easy and Let’s Celebrate featuring Beenie Man. The six-track EP gave fans, both new and old, a much awaited dose of positive and appealing tunes while serving as a re-introduction for Briggy Benz, as he makes his return home to Dancehall.
 
Pushing forward into 2016, Briggy has performances scheduled in cities across the US beginning with Atlanta, Georgia on March 18th - followed by Houston and Orlando in April and May. Fans can visit his website, BriggyBenz.com, to stay up to date with music releases and performance dates.

It all started in high school when Chris received his first drum machine. A BOSS TR 88 it was giving to him by a family friend. And he used it until the drum machine broke. heavily influenced by the sounds of 90‘s by Sean Combs Timbaland Pharell Williams Dr Dre and even late greats such as Quincy Jones and Stevie wonder. Chris at first wanted to become a DJ but never had the equipment instead keyboards and drum machines were always at his disposal.  throughout high school he built many great friendship but always felt as if he didn’t fit in.  It wasn’t until college that found himself and a strong team that backed all his ideas, they were known around town as the Get Wet Crew.  Chris then saw this passion for music and the way it effects people transform into putting together events.  During this time he also discovered and began working with a young budding DJ Monumental with whom he began to create several mixtapes for the local college crowds.   At the same time he his keyboard and drum pad in his dorm room always practicing his skills. after college he continued to assist in planning concerts with huge artists and events and also ran a several recording studios.  Years later Chris Grand would have acquired the mentorship from legendary New York DJ/Music Guru DJ Goldfinger which brought Grand’s style to a whole new level. Being exposed to new york city nightlife has also greatly influenced Chris Grand’s style.  the vibe and the energy of the major city in the world are like none other. he strives to bring a clean yet gritty street influenced luxury stadium world sound into music.
