They have always been an electronic music lover with their roots going back to 90s uk rave culture as well as early 2000 trip hop. Their style goes beyond genre boundaries and always looks out for complex sounds to expand the listener’s horizon. Co-founder of the ESKAPADE bass-music club night, a club series dedicated to empowering marginalised genders.

@mathilde-nvl (Mondame) will answer with a great selection of leftfield/ambient and electro. 

@proximaultra (proxy_404) will prepare experimental breaks with turkish influences, russian lyrics & juicy riddims to treat your ears ~

And last but not least:  @sleeptwitch will end the showcase with her recent favorite breakbeat sounds: expect drums & rhythms on a deeper level and a splash of melancholia.

CRUSH showcase @Refuge Worldwide w/ Kat Never, Mondame, proxy_404 & sleeptwitch

She has her own rhythm in music and in life -- before finally stepping behind the decks herself in 2020, DJ BONEY S already looked back on two decades of club culture experience.

Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife.

As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing -- but always trippy -- her sets invite you to close your eyes.

DJ BONEY S is resident of SLIME (Berlin) and SOUSAMI (Cyprus), female:pressure member and publishes the PRALL podcast series. She is also one half of DJ Frottée and of Hypnotist, both together with zikade.

"I made this mix a few days before Christmas, on a grey day at home in Berlin. With this mix i wanted to create a mood that fits to these kind of winter days in Berlin. So i selected some tracks which are not so typical dancefloor orientated, but the more gloomey and dreamy ones. Unfortunately i forgot to write down the tracklist, and Shazaam could help me out with only 3/4 tracks, the other i couldnt find back in my ever growing vinyl collection. Sorry for that and hope you will enjoy this trip :)"

mjut hosted a residents showcase for the first time last week. due to server problems the stream was not available, but now you can re-listen to three hours of music played by Translucid, nZKT and Bunny Tsukino.

Growing up in Weimar, Xaos' interest in events of many kinds arose already very early in their life. They received musical education through learning how to play the clarinet and piano. At the age of 12 they found a special interest in electronic music. From then on they acquired their DJ skills through observing various DJs in and around Weimar. Due to their expanded musical understanding and the influence of their musically well-versed father, they started producing with Cubase at a young age. Their choice of music style varies a great deal as they feel comfortable playing anything from IDM, DnB, Psy, all other fast styles as well as Breakbeat, UK Bass, House and Disco. The quality of the music and its potential to create layered worlds for its observers to fully immerse in is where Xaos puts their focus when playing. Their love for bending and mixing genres and their ability to devote their full attention to their work often has them end up playing extensive listening sessions or prolonging the closing of evenings/events by putting their listeners in dreamlike states of timelessness. Xaos currently lives in Leipzig, where they worked from 2018 to 2022 as booker and person in charge of the programming for mjut club. In 2020 Xaos launched their own label Myriad, constantly developing their musical understanding further and manifesting and sharing their musical experiences through it. To perform and share more of their own sound creations they recently started their first live project which operates under the name Xa✴s and is ever evolving, changing and growing.
