Parry is a happy guy, and not just because he’s based in Auckland – an Antipodean paradise – it’s because he plays the tunes he loves, to the crowds he knows, in the clubs he’s grown up in. Parry’s passion for house began in the early 2000’s with the production of ‘House Music Changed My Life’ – a house compilation that could be heard at parties across Auckland, and on any good car stereo. It was on a CD. Following a seven year apprenticeship on the other side of the decks, Parry started playing the music he loves at some of the city's favourite clubs. After a stint in Ibiza, Parry’s sound has been shaped by some of the White Isle’s most influential DJs – from Mark Knight to MK, Pete Tong to Dennis Ferrer, Jamie Jones to Roger Sanchez. From tunes that are deep down and Defected, to New York underground, to hands-in-the-air-Jesus-pose-main-stage-at-Ushuaia – the common theme is infectious enthusiasm and loads of fun. Whether playing in Auckland, Vegas or Sydney it’s guaranteed there’ll be good tunes, good people and great times.

It’s quite clichéd now, but I literally started singing in a recording studio in my parent’s basement.  I can remember being exhausted staying up all night, repeating verses and harmonies over and over again.  My cousin was a music producer and a perfectionist, so the vocals had to be perfect.

I transferred from my parent’s basement studio to Columbia College in Chicago, IL, a Performance Arts College, where I studied acting and theatre.  During my studies, I continued working on my craft, especially song writing.  While in Chicago, I was featured in a commercial for Aczone Facial Cream, and was a guest on the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Show.  

After college, I moved back to Atlanta feeling very creative. I put together a voice-over reel and was signed as a voice over artist with the Houghton Talent Agency located in Atlanta.  I booked a radio jingle for the Georgia Lottery and recently recorded a voice over commercial for Publix, a nationwide chain of grocery stores.

“Lit” is the first single off of my upcoming debut album “Thriving in a World of Dangerous Men.”  Don’t let the title scare you off! As women, if we are to be successful, we must learn not just how to survive, but how to thrive in a world of dangerous men.

“Lit” is a drinking-partying-good-time-having record that just makes you wanna dance and sing along, like a real-time Karaoke night out!  In fact, I got the inspiration to write it after a “girls night out” partying and club hopping with my girlfriends!

I love what I do and I couldn’t imagine anything else that could be as fulfilling.
