Long regarded as one of the go-to producers in the UK Dance scene, James Hurr has quickly made his name as a prolific artist, writer and producer. 

With a collaboration roster which reads like a who’s who of Dance, recent projects have seen him working with the likes of Leftwing : Kody, Basement Jaxx, Eli Brown, Danny Howard, Mark Knight and many more. A firm favourite of the Toolroom camp, James Hurr is back on our Trax imprint with his latest single, ‘Di Da Di’ which looks set to tear up the dancefloor. 

Utilising James’ signature tricks and techniques, ‘Di Da Di’ delivers with robust drums, pulsating subs, tight hats, vocal murmuringss of the track title and a hypnotic bassline, resulting in a tune solely created to be blasted out of speakers at 3am! Enjoy!

Hitting the ground running and kicking off the new year in style, French DJ and producer, Tony Cortez, is welcomed back to Toolroom’s Trax imprint for our first release of 2023, with brand new single, ‘La Negra’ which features the hypnotic vocal talents of Colombia’s singer-songwriter and percussionist, Orito Cantora.

An artist whose been going from strength to strength, Tony Cortez has grafted his way through DJ residencies and VIP parties since a young age. After emigrating to the UK in 2012 and with a burning passion for all things House and Tech House, Tony’s music has found its way onto some of the most respected labels in the underground scene including Safe Music, Prizm, HoTL Records, UNION and many more.

‘La Negra’ is another slice of Tech House fire! Boasting tribal, percussive rhythms, pan-pipe melodies, weighty drum patterns, playful bassline and those delectable, warming vocals from Orito running throughout; a straight up club groover that you know is going to off in 2023!

The Italian super-duo Twolate make their return to Toolroom Trax with the incredible new single ‘Baila’. Twolate are honing into their sound of percussive, electro and latin infused house music that is tearing up dancefloors across the globe with recent releases on Spinnin’, Armada, Sono Music and Tropica Records.

Their new single ‘Baila’ is the perfect follow up to ‘Que Lo Que’ released on Toolroom Trax back in the summer of 2022, spending 12 weeks in the Beatport Tech House chart and received huge support from some of the scene’s hottest talents such as Dom Dolla, HUGEL, Mark Knight, Laidback Luke, Matthias Tanzman and Torren Foot. ‘Baila’ is a straight 4 to the floor club shaker, with powerful hard-hitting drums, deep punchy afro vocals with carnival whistles and percussion hits that will turn the dancefloor into a fiesta.

Toolroom Trax returns with another slice of Tech House fire, this time born out of a brand new multi-artist collaboration. In fact, TRX270 marks a special moment for the Toolroom Academy, the label’s boutique educational division. ‘Delirio’ is the result of five graduates meeting through our renowned production programme, forming new creative connections, and then producing the kind of club-ready underground music that Toolroom stands for. 

Each of these five new artists are making major moves. KEFFI has been on a blistering run of releases with Toolroom, with his Latin and percussive sound making waves across global dancefloors and being played by label boss Mark Knight and rising star Crusy. Germany based Alex Lauthals has seen huge releases on seminal label Kittball, whilst Altere, HARRT and Loz Seka were earmarked as ones to watch on the recent ‘Leaders Of The New School’ compilation on Toolroom. ‘Delirio’ was made over one long weekend in London, inspired by the group’s collective visit to Toolroom’s summer party at Studio 338. 

With thick, chunky drums and an infectious bumpy groove ‘Delirio’ has production sophistication with original latin inspired vocals, and cleverly used vocal chop hooks. ‘Delirio’ is set to uplift the dancefloor.

Newcomer DJ and producer, Tom Nolan, makes his debut on the infamous Kaluki Musik imprint this August, with brand-new single, ‘Yellow Bricks’.

Fresh out the traps from his first release in early 2021, Tom has been causing a stir on the underground circuit with records signed to Viva La Vita, Youth Culture, Lost Audio and SK Recordings alongside gigs at some of the biggest parties on the scene, sharing the booth with artists including AJ Christou, Jesse Calosso, Joey Daniel, Late Replies, Hector Couto, Iglesias and more.

His latest outing, ‘Yellow Bricks’ has been championed by label boss, Pirate Copy in his recent sets as well as receiving early support from Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Franky Rizardo, Latmun, Ben Sterling and Fleur Shore! The dancefloor focused roller blends rumbling bass and robust snares with chopped vocals and hypnotic grooves, all held together with crisp percussion. Already bringing the vibe in the clubs this year, expect to hear this one everywhere on the White Isle this summer season.
