This was the first track I ever heard from A.C. It remains my favorite. 

A righteous work, yet again. How you manage to constraint yourself to a composition lasting (usually) no more than 6 minutes is also quite impressive.

Cryo Chamber

This album from Swedish producer Daniel Wiklander will take you deep into the radioactive zones of Chelyabinsk. 

The Chelyabinsk Oblast countryside at the foot of the Ural mountains is as pretty as pastoral landscapes go, the river Techa flows through green farmlands. It is also extremely toxic. At the beginning of the Cold War nuclear arms race, the plutonium plant at Mayak used water from the Techa to cool its reactors. The contaminated water was then discharged back into the river, which tens of thousands relied on for their drinking water. 
Some 40 villages along the river were evacuated. The farmers in the villages close to the river still bury their dead with alarming regularity. 
After the Soviet nuclear authority stopped dumping radioactive waste in the Techa they started using lakes in the area. At lake Karachay, they created the deadliest place on earth – stay one hour on its shore, and you will be exposed to enough radioactivity to kill you. Slowly. 
During droughts in the late sixties, winds spread radioactive dust from Karachay, contaminating an area of 1,000 square miles. Today, the lake is filled with concrete to contain the radioactive waste. To this day, Mayak is in operation as a reprocessing plant for nuclear waste.

“A wake in shadows” is a funerary dirge for the lost and an implement of catharsis for the here and now. A warm embrace for cold nights when loneliness scrapes at the frozen windowpanes and shadows of ourselves dance on the periphery of the firelight. In the darkness of a hushed forest and a quiet mind, the leaves fall from whispering trees, their limbs shed bare in the frigid moonlight. In the spring the roots will feed on the past and sing bittersweet life into the canopy with a long sigh of ephemeral recompense.

Sabled Sun (Atrium Carceri/Mountain Realm) returns with 2150, the 6th entry in the Sabled Sun series.

As our protagonist's essence was decanted into the waiting vessel, a fresh husk of flesh and circuitry, he felt the familiar disorientation of transition. The spaceship - a silver arrow piercing the void, was his chariot to the last bastion of humanity, the outer sector space station. And yet now, as he was dragged screaming from slumber - the ship's alarm suite shrieked in discordant harmony, a cacophony of warning klaxons and flashing telltales that paint the darkness in fiery hues.

The man's thoughts, still coalescing from the fog of sleep, struggle to comprehend the chaos around him. System failure, navigation error, propulsion malfunction - the ship's AI yammers in his ear with a still soothing voice. The man's new body, still unfamiliar, thrummed with tension as he fights to assert control, his consciousness a fragile flame flickering in the hurricane of alarms and warnings...
