YAY!!! My wife and I fell in love with your music when we discovered Isolated Incidents on iTunes several years ago. Didn't occur to me you might be on SoundCloud. Excited to follow your latest works. :D

As a new step in my journey, this past year I’ve made the leap and created my own record label entitled “Orphic Recordings.” It’s currently a small team, but we’ve got big visions and big plans, and I want to invite you on this journey with us. 

In celebration of this, as a starting “Hello,” I’m also giving away an unreleased track which was originally going to be on the album, but didn’t make the final cut.

Something seems pretty obvious, youth love trap music during their favourite concerts, festivals, and parties. This sub genre of music is having tons of success all around the globe and you’re probably asking yourself: ok, but what the fuck is Trap music? Luckily for you, we’re going to discuss everything you must know in order to be in the loop on trap music. You’ve probably listened to some trap songs and felt instantly energised to party all night, right?. What is it Trap Music? Trap music is a sub genre originally created during the 90s thanks to the southern hip hop found in the southern United States. Even though it has a long time in the music background, it’s not until these days that it has become extremely popular, especially for young audiences. Trap Music is everywhere, from parties, concerts, commercials to festivals and so on. You seriously have to be living under a rock if you don’t know what kind of music this is. People ask frequently where trap music got the name from. Actually, it has its own explanation and it got that name because the term ‘‘trap’’ is related to drug deals, specifically the place where drug deals took place. aka Trap House. However, the movement has changed and it’s not the same it was in the 90s. Nowadays, it’s a completely different with an EDM twist. Trap Music in 2017 Trap music has thrived with an outstanding success from 2010. From 2010 to 2017, trap music in one of the most successful sub genres around the globe by the hand of artists and DJs which created songs that have been on the Billboard charts since them. Trap has a strong presence this decade by maintaining itself as a mainstream Billboard music charts. One of the most successful trap songs during this decade is the single by the Brooklyn-based rapper Desiigner named ‘‘Panda’’. Nimbus Deloud - Immortal (feat. Archie)

Instinctive, Proficient, Creative… in three words, you can summarize the immense work of Los Angeles-based Producer/Actor, Cryptex. 

Born Tyler Chase in Boston, MA, raised the smoky mountains of North Carolina, crafted in the halls of London, and cultured by the streets of Los Angeles - Cryptex has had an artistic edge since his youth. Growing up in public schooling, and eventually deciding to home school and graduate early to jump-start his acting path, Tyler’s childhood was blessed with myriad musical and creative influences. The son of two radio professionals, they would listen to everything from Sting, Nora Jones, Michael Jackson, to more recent acts like Missy Elliot, even a broken Nelly CD that he and his mother found in a parking lot. 

With a passion for the acting, Tyler didn’t start out as most of his fellow producer peers. His first acting role was at the age of 11. Tyler went on to be featured in dozens of film and television appearances —  most notably a recurring role on AMC’s, “The Walking Dead” and guest star role on FOX’s, “Sleepy Hollow”. It wasn’t until 2008 when he heard edIT’s track “Crunk De Gaulle,” that Tyler first heard the ticking of BPMs inside of his head, that would eventually become Cryptex. The tune was unlike  anything he’d ever heard--  it went so deep into his bones that he spent the next few days going through every track of edIT’s, Glitch Mob, and dozens of others just to keep this feeling alive. This moment is when 
Tyler knew he was destined to make music, to create what he feels within and to bring out the world inside his soul. 

His first big break came in 2014, when MTV hired Cryptex to assist Patrick Claire and his team at Elastic.tv to create remixes for every nomination category for the 2014 MTV VMAs. 

Most recently, Cryptex released his debut album, “End Silence” capturing the ears of glitch enthusiasts the world over. With a glitchy precision, Cryptex is set to debut his sophomore EP, “ Nightwatch” releasing  this November on Friday the 13th, via his own label, Orphic Recordings.
