After five years of planning, writing, and refining their sound, London-based production duo Kolectiv are set to release their long-awaited debut drum & bass album, Circadian Rhythms.

The project began in the aftermath of the pandemic, when the pair started setting aside tracks that captured the spirit of a night out at a drum & bass event. Their vision was clear: to create an album that reflects the variety, energy, and progression of a rave – from the first beats that pull you into the closing sounds that carry you home.

“Going out to drum & bass nights, you’d hear so many different flavours across six or seven hours. We wanted the album to follow that same arc – like a circadian rhythm, a natural flow of time, but in this case the cycle of a rave,” Kolectiv explain.

To achieve this, the duo placed a strong emphasis on originality and sound design. Most of the album was built from scratch using their own recorded samples, crafted through sessions with keys, drums, and guitars, and only dipping into external sources when absolutely necessary. Vocal collaborations from PAV4N, Hijak MC, Illmatika and Kerry Donnelly add unique flavour to the project, while carefully placed interludes tie the project together as a complete listening experience.

“This isn’t just a collection of tracks. We wanted it to be a journey – a cradle-to-grave kind of experience – with highs, lows, and moments to breathe.”

The title Circadian Rhythms captures that intention perfectly: an audio diary of a night spent immersed in drum & bass culture, told through Kolectiv’s trademark blend of technical precision and emotional depth.

The project also coincided with a complete studio overhaul, giving Kolectiv a fresh environment to finalize and mix down the record with a renewed sense of clarity and focus.

With Circadian Rhythms, Kolectiv deliver more than an album – they present a story, an atmosphere, and a tribute to the music and culture that shaped them.

The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. The beats flow smoothly, guiding the listener through a journey that shifts between contemplation and motion.

The title track, “Inspire Me”, expands on this concept with an even more immersive approach. Here, the basslines take on a more experimental character, blending with ethereal pads and pulsating rhythms that evoke both hope and reflection. The result is an emotive Liquid DnB experience—subtle yet powerful.

With this EP, Two Turntable reaffirms their identity as artists unafraid to break formulas, exploring the less obvious paths of Drum and Bass. I have been working on those tracks after my To The Threshold Album, some of the tunes was in the process already while i did the previous album. You can expect from this release hard Drum & Bass tunes, again i have been trying to do my best on all of those tunes! And possibly best sounding as i can, as sometimes it was not easy at all to do the right sound. I added on this release also one more experimental kind of Drum & Bass, 4/4 track, would not say its a Crossbreed one, then Electro remix from my side project Pornothrasher, as i enjoy to do Electro too as many of you know. I asked MC Coppa to record for me vocals for the track that is on the EP, and need to say im really happy with the result, not the heaviest DNB track, but rolls really good and hard enough to kick your ass! The Rest is my solo i would say pure Hard Drum & Bass tracks, how i like to produce and to play! I hope you enjoy this release, again i tested it at gigs, and the tunes just went greatly, some of them some of you asked on the net already. Thank you so much, and buy the vinyl to keep them alive. release date should be end of October, 4 tunes on vinyl and 4 tunes as digital extra bonus tracks - if you buy the vinyl EP you get with it unique code where you can download the digital release of FSRECS 008 with the extra 4 digital only tracks, two weeks as usual the tunes on digital shops.

Underneath the veil of mystery emerges an unknown duo called The Martens. They are here with their first proper release "Ambush" and ready to take over the scene with their sharp and precise neuro sound. Starting with a military themed first track, we are ambushed by dirty and neck snapping stabs and noises. Next comes the track "LYBE", which makes the listener appreciate the love for the memes and funny side of The Martens. At the end we have only "Theories" and they will certainly make us wonder what The Martens will do next. Lets find out!
