Seattle's iconic Uniting Souls Music delivers a new Spring compilation,  featuring nine new tracks by a solid roster of West Coast talent + a couple of NOLA veteran DJ/producers.

CRYPTOCHRONICA - BIO
Cryptochronica is the bass fusion project of producer Chris Shimanoff. Heavy, groove-oriented and psychedelic, Cryptochronica's music explores fusing the heavy bass genres of the EDM underground into new alloys. Boiled down to its most base elements, Cryptochronica is the digital drug, guaranteed to take you on a trip and keep you moving the whole time. Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Shimanoff was influenced by the islands’ Reggae, Dub and Jawaiian (Jamaican-Hawaiian Fusion) scenes and Cryptochronica often shares glimmers of these tropical inspirations. The name itself is drawn from this Rasta-fusion tradition: both the words “Crip” and “Chronic” are Hawaiian pidgin (slang) for Cannabis. When blockchain and crypto currencies exploded into the public consciousness, it was only a short leap to conceiving Cryptochronica: the digital drug.

Like the haunting song of the wolf’s primal howl, Wolfess enchants crowds on and off the dance floor with her magic. Wolfess has a broad musical background and palette that is reflected in the diversity of her performance styles. She curates customized musical experiences to enhance each event where she performs, weaving together global sounds to create a tapestry of music with organic rhythmic elements and an always-bassy backbone.
As a producer, she uses her experience as a classical musician to enrich her original tracks with acoustic elements such as harp, flute, and violin and often adds these instrumentals to her live sets; her background as a jazz musician lends itself to on-stage improvisation. However when it’s time to get down and party hard, she loves nothing more than to slap a crowd in the face with her bass-droppin’ booty-poppin’ tech and G-house headliner sets. 

A Hawaii-born local and daughter of two Hawaii Symphony musicians, Wolfess found her love of music and performing at a young age. Wolfess’ experience with performing grew into various kinds of expression in the arts beyond music-  from aerial performance to fire dance, and fuels her onstage presence as a guaranteed crowd-pleaser yet unpredictable and never repeatable DJ. She believes through music, everyone can heal something from inside via the movement and the magic of dance, connection, and the body. A DJ as irresistible as the bassy beats she drops, Wolfess is the gem of any night in the electronic scene of Honolulu and beyond.

Seattle's house music mainstay, Uniting Souls Music, has queued up a new Spring compilation, featuring new music by a solid roster of West Coast talent, as well as a couple of veteran NOLA dj/producers.

Equinox Dreams v3 offers nine new tracks, including "Notte," a driving, melodic/progressive house track by Eliogold (AKA Elio Sottoscritti), whose roots in Florence, Italy's burgeoning electronic music scene have shaped his passion for quality underground music, as much as his two decades of experience with the US West Coast's dance scene. 

Elio is currently based in Seattle, where he has continued to share his love of music via his DAZED events, and his residencies in the Emerald city's top nightclubs, including Monkey Loft and Kremwerk.

Elio Sottoscritti is feverish about electronic music, for him it's much like the rush of discovering gold. The difference is, where others would squander such riches, he's driven to share every ounce of it he finds as an artist and DJ under his moniker Eliogold. Being from Florence, Elio would pick up on the traditions of central Italy’s house and techno from exposure to big name clubs and parties like Cocorico', Fortezza, and Jaiss before taking to the turntables himself around 2003. Eliogold has been toiling away at finding the right sounds through which to express himself as an artist producer for years, and finally hit his stride in 2012 releasing on UK based label Axon Recordings. Elio left his mark in the deserts of Arizona, working hard as a party organizer and leading artist, under the banner of the Dazed & Confused crew, starting in 2015. There, he hosted and played at events alongside international guests such as Hector Romero, My Favorite Robot, Mor Elian, and more. Because of his multifaceted style, ranging from house, techno, progressive, breaks, and anything in between, he’s had the opportunity to play at some of the most respected underground parties in the west coast such as Frenzy at Avalon in LA, Techno Taco Tuesday in Vegas, and more. Today he is in Seattle where he relaunched his party brand under the name DAZED and is still hosting parties and performing at local clubs such as The Monkey Loft and Kremwerk. His EP "Revenge of the Muppet" on Threerecordsuk reached #1 in the Beatport top100 global new releases and Indie Dance charts in early 2022. His passion for sound and language has brought him to terms with one of music’s universal truths. "My background taught me that there is only one language that needs no translation and that’s music. There is nothing more inspiring than that and that’s what keeps me going." This understanding has shaped Eliogold, a rare and valuable find for any listener who would be so fortunate to uncover.

Here is my latest edition to my DJ tools series. A collection of bumping remixes I put together to rock the dancefloor. One of the critical things you need to do  as a DJ is connect with the audience. And one of the best ways to do that, is play familiar music that people know and love, and when you take that music and you flip it with a dope remix, people go nuts. And that is what this series is designed to do. There is a free download link to this track as well. The DL gates that most producers put up are annoying but necessary for gaining traction. I dont want to do that, I just want to share music that I love and had fun making.
