Aiming to oppress from second one, Hump Shunted's say-good-bye-to-your-face attitude is achieved through Rommek's scourging, offbeat thudding sidelined only by potent and ceaseless discharge of abrasive mid-to-low scale bass, atop which two distinct layers of panning and buzzing synths fight for dominance against troubled wails of polytonal siren, stretching across mournfully, presumably in lamentation of the record's imminent end.

Greek electronic music platform, ‘π‘ turns seven this year and brings new features on its label catalogue. ‘Variable Remixes’ is the first remixes EP of the Pi Electronics Various Artists series ‘PEVA’. Five tracks from the debut compilation ‘Variable’ –released in 2018- are getting remixed by some of the label’s favorite acts.

Unhuman’s “imminent Fear” gets an alternative Version by the legendary, Spanish band of Esplendor Geometrico.
Damcase’s “INKL Rules” is remixed by American producer Container.
The untitled track of the Variable compilation, by the artist project “I am Legion, for We are many”, gets reinterpreted by the Canadia duo of Rich Oddie (Orphx) and Huren as ‘O/H’.
On the flip side, the track ‘GBNR17’ of the label’s ‘3.14’ gets its fix by Spanish, industrial techno maestro, Geistform and DΛS’ “Spinner” receives a special remix treatment by Athens’ infamous ANFS.

Noise break-beats of different tastes on the A-side, with stomping industrial beats for the club and sub-club environment on the B side.

[Hailing from Russia ЯTRA has been shaping his own elektro sound for some years now. For this “Liberation EP” he has crafted some of his darkest and harshest tracks. The sounds on this EP are bordering elektro, industrial, minimal electronics, techno and acid. Despite all of this it makes up for very coherent tunes which are distinctive and at the same time have enough angles to be picked up by both electro(nic) music lovers and club minded dj’s.
With the “Liberation EP” ЯTRA has created a perfect soundtrack for these times of upheaval. Peace is not good enough as peace is most of the time imposed by the stronger part. Therefor we should fight for liberation. Liberation of people, of regions, of cultures, of animals, of nature, of lives and of minds. No better way to do this as supported by fitting music.]

Acid Mush - Forever Young  (Festival Mix)

The EP is a true declaration of love to this girl, but also to this music that makes us dance with our eyes closed, tears running on our cheeks. Composed of six tracks, the first one, ‘Cette Fille', quickly reflects the 80’s influences of the artist. End of Mortal Life signs a post-punk track that seems to takes its energy from a melancholic and addictive emotion. ‘Circle of Love’ illustrates a beautiful collaboration between the artist and DJ Varsovie, whose characteristic vocals resonate with synths and catchy electro. The A side closes on ‘Disco Paranoïa’, a more adventurous track that weaves video games samples and techno into a dancefloor killer track.
