Solid Grooves Records audaciously introduces itself as one of the UK's finest House & Techno labels, a bold statement backed up by its hugely popular residencies in both Ibiza and London.

The recipe is simple, but efficient: Solid Grooves Records provides a signature heavy duty sound from a tight knit family of core artists, whilst championing emerging and prospering artists.  The label's sights are firmly set on the horizon, with a commitment to pursue dance-floor material which is both tasteful and effective, and to set the scene for a new breed of talent.

Soulmagic are the combined forces of the two Danish producer/DJ’s, Morten Trust and Mikkel Wendelboe, who first met 13 years ago on the local club scene, Mikkel a promoter and Morten a DJ. Their first (and biggest) joint release to date was the underground hit 'Get Your Thing Together' featuring Ann Nesby (Purple Music, 2010).  Prior to their alliance, Mikkel and Morten were both independent producers for many years. The Soulmagic name was initially used by Morten as a moniker, song title and label name in 2003, under which he produced house cuts including 'Yah Yah', 'Come On, Come On' (Soulfuric) and the hit release simply called 'Soulmagic', signed to Universal. Morten has more than 50 releases and remixes under his belt on labels such as Soulfuric, Swing City, Mn2S, Morehouse and Pacha, also gaining 3 DDJA Awards (Danish DJ Awards) and 2 gold records! He also produced several tracks for the Claude Challe album. Mikkel had also been producing his own releases including ‘Into My Life’ (Reelgroove/ Hed Kandi’s Beach House), along with several remixes, but after unleashing his single ‘Free Your Mind’ on the Soulmagic label in 2008, Mikkel and Morten joined forces and the Soulmagic production partnership was born.

Together Soulmagic have an impresive production portfolio including further hits on Jamie Lewis’ Purple Music - ‘We Love This Music’ with the late Sabrynah Pope and ‘New Dimension’ including a vocal sample from the eighties band Imagination, more recently ‘Love In The Club’ with Louis Hale and a new project to embrace the big room personality of Soulmagic- ‘BlackJack. in 2010 they created THE hype track of Miami WMC sampling Aretha Franklin’s ‘Jump To It', known as 'Aretha’s Groove'. It rocked the rafters of South Beach and still to this day it remains an unreleased, underground classic. Their combined remix portfolio is equally as impressive, incuding artists such as Barry White, Jocelyn Brown, Jon Cutler, Eric Gadd, Ce Ce Rogers, Cool Million, George Mccrae, Miguel Migs ft Peven Everett, Jay-J, and many more!  Aside of working on an exciting follow up single to ‘Someone Like You’ Soulmagic are currently busy in the studio working on remxes for Grant Nelson’s Swing City records, The Sunbusrt Band and Danny Clark & Jay Benham ft Robert Owens.

Soulmagic are highly sought after DJs and have played all over the world including Pacha [Ibiza], El Divino [Ibiza], Plan B [Dubai], Nikki Beach [Miami], Sosho [London], Vega [Copenhagen] and NB Coimbra [Portugal], to name a few. Working the crowds with their special blend of house and diso grooves, they have a reputation for dropping cheeky edits and special remixes made specially for the night! Their legendary Winter Music Conference sets in Miami have become historic! Soulmagic will be DJing across Europe over the Summer months, with a USA tour being planned for the Autumn.

DJ and producer e-lie is an artist who has established himself as a prominent figure in the Australian house music scene. With a deep-rooted passion for music, e-lie has honed his skills over the years to become a masterful DJ and producer.

From an early age, e-lie was drawn to the genre of house music and was inspired by the likes of Sonny Fodera and Marc MK Kinchen. He was particularly moved by their ability to create music that allows the vocals to take center stage, and this became his driving force in his pursuit of creating soulful tracks that resonate with his listeners.

Through his relentless dedication and hard work, e-lie has built a loyal following in Sydney and beyond, with his Soundcloud mixes gaining widespread popularity and setting him apart as a DJ with a keen ear for the best in house music.

Over the past three years, e-lie has focused his efforts on producing his own music, carefully crafting and refining his sound to create a unique style that is both soulful and energetic. He has already received recognition from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Marc MK Kinchen, a feat that he considers a significant accomplishment.

e-lie's talent and skill as a DJ have not gone unnoticed, with Joel Corry reaching out to express his appreciation for featuring his music in one of his mixes. This recognition has further solidified e-lie's reputation as a gifted artist who has a profound understanding of the nuances of house music.

Since the inception of his live show and his exciting new style of house music, Alex Preston has become a force to be reckoned with in the world of electronic music. The Sydney-native utilises his skills as a virtuoso musician as he tastefully melds his signature guitar licks with disco tinged bass lines and warm pulsating house beats. 

2020 is proving to be Alex Preston’s breakout year with Mark Knight labelling him as one of his favourite producers and one to watch out for in the coming months. Signing with Mark’s infamous Toolroom Records, Alex was handed the responsibility of mixing and curating the Toolroom Poolside Album 2020. The release features 4 new originals from Alex with vocals from Rion S and includes his collaboration with the legendary, Friend Within. It also includes 2 DJ mixes hand picked by Alex, not only showcasing Alex’s production talents but also his skills as a tastemaker DJ. 

The run up to the end of 2019 saw Alex’s music hit a new gear as Traxsource named him their no.15 highest selling House artist for 2019; Alex sharing the top 20 with names such as David Penn, Low Steppa, Mousse T, Kevin McKay, Purple Disco Machine & Todd Terry. 

This momentum flowed into January 2020 as Friend Within played Alex’s single “Your Ragga” off his Basement Sound label on BBC Radio 1 Future Anthems; along with the Aston Shuffle spinning his track “A Very Healthy Thing” off Low Steppa’s Simma Black imprint on Triple J; all in the same weekend. 

The following week Mark Knight dropped “A Very Healthy Thing” on Toolroom Radio and hailed Alex as “a name to look out for in 2020”. Toolroom records singing Alex’s single “An Example of Disco” (featuring the vocals of Rion S) scheduling it for a worldwide release on 6 March 2020 adding it to their Miami 2020 Compilation. 

Alex also signed with Kevin McKay’s hugely successful, Glasgow Underground. With Kevin himself editing one of Alex’s more blues-influenced tracks, “Get Myself Together” (also featuring the vocals of Rion S and released on 3 April 2020). 

The rest of 2020 is looking solid for Alex with a collaboration with Siege due for release on Toolroom’s T2 Album in July, along with releases on the uber cool UK based Another Rhythm Records. Not to mention, there’s word of an album dropping on his own Basement Sound imprint in September!
