"In this mix tape i wanted to give back a feeling, what you usually feel in a club at dawn. When the night is getting to the end, a new day is just about to start and you are in an endless mood. In Berlin these parties just go on and on like a never ending story..."

Akos Turzai aka Nova Gravity started his musical career in 2003. At the beginning under different names and genres, but he ended up by 4/4 beats music. In 2007 he joined the Lollipop Factory Budapest party organizer team, after that he became busy in the Hungarian electronic scene and played a lot on parties, radio shows or often on festivals and had some international gigs in European cities like Vienna, Dublin, Berlin. In 2009 he moved to Berlin and soon he was found by the Pink-Pong Booking Agency and Record Label. Lots of great gigs in Berliner clubs, open air parties and festivals. His skills developed to a next level and he became sound technician in clubs. After four years of living in Berlin he returned back to Budapest in 2013. With all the impressions he got from Berlin, now he tries to run a fresh and innovative event called BAR 72 in Hungary with 3 other friends.

We take a trip across the pond for our next podcast, because it comes from the celebrated New York based Detroit that is Mike Servito. Best known for his impressive closing sets, be they at Bunker, where he is resident, or at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Servito is a passionate vinyl fiend and is said to spend most of his fees on buying more of the stuff. Only in the last year or so has he broken out of local circles in New York and Detroit, and that is purely off the back off his DJing ability because he is not a producer. The DJ sets he does, though, are uncompromising things that he painstakingly researches and puts together for often for a whole week before playing. 

The podcast he has served up for us is just as tight.  It wastes no time in getting down to business and starts with plenty of unhinged acid techno. Of course, the mixing is slick and seamless, records are teased in an out with an expert hand and the beats range from tightly coiled and kinetic to more spaced out and trippy. It’s 90 minutes of expert DJ perfection and proves the Ghostly associate is one of the best there is.

We have Carlos Souffront, perhaps the true lord of acid returning from the depraved depths of the San Francisco underground to unleash his unique moody vision, killing it in his closing set for IT's Come Feel The Acid party on March, 3, 2013 (3/03). His first set warming up for Tin Man was also stellar, but that pure late night intensity really shines through on this mix. His first song is Hieroglyphic Being's "The Lost Transmission", mixing out of BMG playing Erika's "Tow Ride (Marcellus Pittman Remix)."
