I'm so stoked with how this turned out. One of the coolest things about the Last Week Tonight Thomas parody is how uncannily accurate it is to the source material, barring all the swearing, haha.

I was immediately inspired to recreate the soundtrack, it's just that good. I tried to remain as faithful as possible to the original, only embellishing a small amount by changing up a few instruments here and there. Enjoy!

Last Week Tonight - The Sad Tale of Henry the Engine - OST

A small original piece to start off the year. To aid my addiction to nostalgic cartoony shopping music, here is this one. Once again I use the DX7 for the lead horn as I have yet to purchase a convincing brass pack that will give me that classic horn sound. But I wanted a tune that said 'let's skip merrily to the store to buy cookies' kind of thing. 

The melody was partially composed by Gguru and I expanded on it, it belonged to a 'national anthem' styled piece we worked on not long ago.

Another mashup theme I DESESPERATELY wanted to make for about a week now. If you didn't know already there's a Mario ARG horror series called "The Power Star Archives" on YT and in one of the moments from the latest episode there was a "fight" scene in it, but the best part from that boss fight was the theme, and OH MY GOD THAT THEME IS AN ABSOLUTE BANGER!!! And because it sounded so good, I had to inmediately make a runaway mashup about it. Honestly I had a lot of fun making this and I hope you guys enjoy this!

And btw for the people that may think this is something related to Halloween, it's not. The og title is called "Ghostly Surprise" but I replaced surprise with runaway bc funny mashup names

So! A lot's happened since I last posted here, huh? XD
Anyhow uhhhhh I was *extremely* bored one day and decided to update this old relic of a remaster, which will be turning *4 years old* this year lmaoooooooo. The urge for this didn't come out of nowhere, as I've grown increasingly dissatisfied with the original remaster, even after Jerome's Albert adaptation officially released. This was moreso done for my own satisfaction than for any official projects in the works, but I'm glad I did it all the same. Changed the lead instruments to utilize a couple Kontakt string libraries I have, pitched this down a semitone, beefed up the backing, change the percussion for more S4-accurate samples and adjusted the EQ. Rly happy with how this update turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy! :) --Ashley

Didn't expect this sort of cover, huh?

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been slowly going through random episodes of Fraggle Rock to feed a bit of curiosity. At a time where, to be quite honest, I’ve felt incredibly empty and depressed about many things, this wonderful lil series has been among the many things that’ve been slowly recharging my creative drive. And this song in particular stuck out to me.

In comparison to the usual funk, scat-laden and country-esqe tunes we’re used to, Let Me Be Your Song has..this air of emotion I can’t even describe. A sense of wonder. A sense of sadness. A sense of pure beauty.

I’ve been slowly gaining confidence in doing my own song covers again (some of which I’ve been planning to do with a certain someone...), and after a particularly emotional breakdown-laden night, I’d decided to do something to purge a bit of that sense of...something in my system.

I hope you all enjoy.
