His main influences come from Detroit and Birmingham sound. The desire to search for new places, art and architectures are some of the elements where he finds inspiration when writing music. His live performances are a fast journey, resulting from a carefully prepared selection.

Christian Vance cut his teeth into the electronic music scene from the late 90's in Melbourne, Australia. He has played with legendary figures of electronic music, drawing on the original sounds from both Detroit and Chicago. Some standout projects include remixing and collaborating with the likes of Derrick May, Aril Brikha, Kirk Degiorgio and Etienne Jaumet.

Now based in Berlin, Christian is one of the promoters of the ‘Away’ parties at About Blank, hosting DJ’s such as Moodymann, Omar S and Move D to name a few. Christian also plays at the events under his alias “Away Soundsystem” and regularly throws down a mixed bag 4+ hour journey through live performance or DJ'ing.

Throughout his career, he has played in various countries, cities, festivals and clubs including Tresor and Stattbad in Berlin, Mad Racket in Sydney, Berns 2.35:1 in Stockholm and Folies Pigalle in Paris.

A quality podcast that plays sounds across the techno, acid and house spectrum by one of Nightime Dramas favourite artists. We hope you enjoy the mix as much as we have.
