Huhu ihr lieben!
Wir melden uns auch im neuen Jahr zurück und führen unsere schöne Dreiradfahrts-Reihe fort! 
Und um das neue Jahr einzuläuten, hat sich unser lieber @gardenoftime auf den Sattel geschmissen und unser kleines Gefährt in Schwung gebracht!

Kennengelernt über das schöne Soundcloud-Game stehen wir nun schon länger hier und da in Kontakt! Was ursprünglich mit dem ein oder anderen Set-Austausch begann, wurde nach und nach zu einem entspannten Hallo sagen, die eigenen Projekte miteinander teilen, Feedback einholen und einfach ein gemütliches connecten! Sogar bei Kiki's erstem Gig im Katerblau war er unterstützend mit am Start, während der Rest der Dreiradfahrt-Crew leider verhindert war.
Da wir drei von seinem Output schon länger sehr überzeugt sind, freuen wir uns umso mehr, dass er die Zeit und Lust gefunden hat für unsere kleine Reihe etwas einzuspielen! 
Wir sagen - freut euch drauf! Uns hat er ab Sekunde eins in den Bann gezogen und wie wir finden einen wahnsinns Output hingelegt! Danke dafür <3

Und solltet ihr nach dem Set nicht genug bekommen, schaut unbedingt mal auf seinem Profil vorbei - dort findet ihr noch mehr wunderbare Musik!

Hoffentlich dauert es nicht allzu lang, bis wir uns alle gemeinsam mal treffen. ✔️ What are your musical Influences?
Music has been with me my whole life. It started with classical piano, then later came guitar, singing and, since I was 15, mainly playing drums. Accordingly, my musical roots lie more in rock and hip-hop. It wasn't until I was 19/20 that I got into electronic music with electro, DnB and dubstep and it wasn't until my late twenties that my path led me into the house and techno scene. Since then, I've been particularly enthusiastic about downtempo and midtempo as well as various types of house music.

✔️ What makes a good “afterhour”?
A good afterhour is all about the people. A nice relaxed setting, with the right people and then the right sound - for me preferably groovy or bouncy, stimulating but not too heavy and above all effortlessly continuous - is a really nice thing! 🙂

✔️Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?
My live special is from my gig at the Zugvögel Festival 2024, where I'm also part of the crew. I was also allowed to play on the Aheu! floor, which I helped to set up myself, which was a great end to another challenging, but above all wonderful time. My slot was the closing of the Saturday night from 7-9 a.m. I was really excited at the beginning and one or two little mistakes crept in due to the nervousness 🙂 Nevertheless, I really enjoyed being able to play some of my current absolute favourite tracks by some really great artists. And after a while, the excitement was gone and I just had a really good time and a wonderful audience.

In the cultural cosmos of the Fusion Festival, the Dubstation is its own planet. A place where reality takes a break and time forgets itself.
This hybrid DJ set, dedicated to a midsummer morning dream, was created there.
Re-edited songs, amusing samples and an aerophone, recorded with breath still fogged from the night, fell into place. No rush, no rules, just sound.

I’m so thankful to all those who made this magic possible:
Among them the dancers, who made the invisible tangible,
the technicians, whose hands moved across the controls faster than shadows,
and of course the travelers who stayed while time slipped away.

This is my gift to you, a fragment of that morning.

What a ride. After months of preparation, it finally happened.
Here are the first three hours of my four-hour set from Friday morning at Fusion 2025.
The last hour was a spontaneous reggae freestyle, which I’ll upload separately sometime soon, or send you a private link if you like.

✨ What a fantastic journey to the land of Mystic Creatures ✨

Far from the human cities, deep in the forests and surrounded by a vast shimmering lake, lies a mystical island where we celebrated a festival where time seemed to stand still.

Together with my dear friend Andy Snatch, who once again supported me with his wise words on the microphone, I had the honor of playing a hybrid DJ set at the third Mystic Creatures Festival.

We played on the Creatures Corner stage before sunset on Saturday, featuring live sampling and aerophone, an unforgettable moment.

Even far from my usual music venues, I'm thrilled to share this powerful dance set with you.

The energy was simply breathtaking... beautiful mystical creatures everywhere, dancing to the beat.

The Imperial villa of Katsura (1615-1662) is considered as one of the most refined examples of Japanese residential architecture. Since the thirties and Bruno TAUT's sojourn in Japan, the literature on Katsura villa has flourished and since the end of the Second World War, Katsura villa has been at the center of discourses of the Japanese tradition and "Japanese-ness." Considering the architectural discourses of thre generations of architects: KISHIDA Hideto (1929), Bruno TAUT (1936), HORIGUCHI Sutemi (1952), TANGE Kenzo and Walter GROPIUS (1960), ISOZAKI Arata (1983), we will focus on the presentation of Katsura villa as a model of Japanese architecture.

Why, in architectural discourses, Katsura villa does represent "Japanese-ness"? How has the complex architecture of Katsura villa been reduced to a representation of the essence of Japan, its tradition and modernity? From both the perspectives of modern history and philosophy, this paper will try to answer the issue of the 'Japanese-ness" of Katsura villa.

The construction of a discourse on “Japanese-ness" is the result of a crossed history (created by both Japanese and Foreign architects) since the the when architects have tried to define what is Japanese architecture. The need to define Japanese architecture was prompted by the importation of Japanese modern architecture. From the thirties, and moreover in the forties, the debate within Japanese architecture centred in the relation to Occidentalism and the desire to overcome the western modernity. After the war, during the controversy on Tradition, Katsura villa was eventually promoted as a model for the creation of Modern Japanese architecture.

Phenomenological approaches to Japanese architecture have insisted on the specific relation to nature—especially in the case of religious (Buddhist and Shinto) architecture—and the thought of WATSUJI Tetsurô and NISHIDA Kitaro have been advocated for the analysis of the Japanese architectural culture. However in HUSSERL's philosophy, the starting point of his Phenomenology is the Transcendental Reduction. The Reduction "brackets" all ideas tha are unrelated to our perception of the object as it is in itself. Thus the Reduction is a precondition for the fundamental purpose of phenomenology, that of a study of the essence of objects as they appear to consciousness.

By investigating the idea of Transcendental Reduction, what it means both within HUSSERL's philosophy and how it relates to the discourse on Katsura villa, we can see how the 'Japanese-ness" which has often been taken to be an "essence" of that particular building, is in fact a misrepresentation of the term "essence" and just another example of the "natural attitude," which phenomenology must attempt to avoid. The discourse of 'Japanese-ness" mirrors HUSSERL's concept of "sedimentation": the addition of layers of meaning beyond the originary vision of the object.

csxlab.org is Francisco Vasconcelos, self-taught photographer born in Portugal and currently based in Berlin. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, and has worked for architecture offices such has Kyiokazu Arai Kyoto & Sou Fujimoto Architects Tokyo.

Amateur photographer since the age of 12 (1990), carrying the Father Zeiss Voigtländer Icarex 35cs camera until 2006 when the arrival of the Digital allowed me to photograph almost in a diary like. Together with the Canon EOS 350D I started to carry it with me to everywhere I went, including ... Clubbing.

With time my photos started to get some appreciation and i got some works for some clubs, mainly Pitch through 2007, and started with a more professional attitude (not just photographing because i was there) but requested to do the cover of the events, an invitation by 1ªLinha from Portugal; an event producer now based in Brazil.

From 2007 until today, I have been photographing music events such as Goa-Festivals, concerts, clubbing, in many countries in which I lived, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Japan.
