Subliminal Thought Bio
Subliminal Thought is a male and female music collaboration that was formed in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area in the winter of 2002. Their are a fusion of soulful melodic sound with articulated lyrics.
The founders and members of the group are Ja-Mel Wylie (Mr. City) and Katrina Blunt (Kenilworth Katrina).  Ja-Mel and Kenilworth have performed at large and small venues here in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas such as the Baltimore Budweiser Super-Fest, Department of Transportation’s Summer Concert Series, local clubs, and cabaret events. They have support of their hometown radio stations, fans and are regular guest on a host of Internet radio shows in Washington DC and Detroit.  Subliminal thought was selected out of three hundred plus applicants to perform at the World Famous Apollo Theater in New York City.  As a bonus, both artists are songwriters. 
Subliminal Thought manages to incorporate a variety of flavours into their music. They have the ability to vocalize lyrics with an extremely soulful voice accompanied by thought provoking lyrics over any genre of music. Subliminal Thought is a cultural shock to the system; this sound will capture the mind and body without the person aware of the thrust. 

Subliminal Thought Statement:
Inspired by the world of Hip-Hop and Native Washington DC Go-Go, without rules, we used narrative styles in our music to express our passion for this game.  We combine life and music to let the world have a moment in our shoes. Our intelligent rhymes and soulful singing, turns our voice into an instrument. Subliminal Thought is a splash of the Fugees, with a shot of something you have never tasted before.  Hip Hop has been re-born.
