MIX: Apukuna - This One's For Your Feet

I made this set to collaborate with Keerd (as a VJ) for my monthly guest set on Holotropic Happy Hour, the former 2-hour A/V weekly stream I co-produced on Bluetech's Twitch channel for over 2 years.

Bide a Wee is an ode to the chill rooms of the parties I attended in the late 90's. It's a journey through genres and decades, all in the name of "chillaxation". Lots of dub, psychill and IDM in this one.

I had the opportunity to record a mix for Digitally Imported's Psychill channels annual Winter Solstice online event, this mix was originally aired on December 21, 2014 12:23 Central Europe time.

It includes tracks that I've been playing over the last year, combined with older tracks that somehow affected my life in one way or another. In comparison to the style I usually play these tracks are a bit slower, so if you fancy a relaxing moment, make yourself comfortable for one and a half hour of chilled tones.

Brojanowski ́s musical way started when he was a teenager. He loved to listen to dancehall music from the late 70’s and early 80’s. Artists like Yellowman and Eek-a- Mouse were his stars. Those slow repetetive rhythms and beats drove him insane. When he got in touch with electronic music he wanted to experiment as well and started to dj with a friend who had some old vinyls. Back then he got his first sequencer program and started to work on sounds. Bit by bit he could refine his techniques, learn more about music and spread his horizon for new ideas.
Moving to Hamburg lead him to perform on some parties were he could play his own songs and his first live sets. His style back then was more minimalistic than it is today but still trippy. He got to release songs on some labels like Der Hut, Cirque du Minimaliste and Lethal Dose Recordings – mostly dark Minimial and Techno labels.
Graduall his style envolved i n
 a wicked mixture of genres. It has always has been trippy and playful with a strong base and a wicked groove mixed up with abstract sounds. He likes to take people on a journey and surpirise with unconventional ideas, creating a universe of tones and melodies. Apart from playing dark progressive, he also loves to mix chill out and experimental music.
